Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 is held for the first time in many typical cultural spaces of the Capital.

With the theme "Heritage - Connection - Era", Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 will take place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake with more than 30 unique cultural, artistic and tourism activities during 16 days (November 1-16).

Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 aims to spread the image of the capital with a strong identity, representing Vietnamese culture, contributing to educating tradition, patriotism and national pride.

According to Ms. Le Thi Anh Mai, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports , this is an opportunity for Hanoi to demonstrate its spirit of integration, creativity and responsibility in preserving heritage - turning traditional cultural values ​​into new inspiration for art, tourism and modern life.

At the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, visitors will experience a series of Heritage Convergence activities, displaying traditional craft products of the three capitals (Thang Long, Hue, Hoa Lu) and the Central Highlands provinces; introducing Hanoi's culinary culture, and creative craft and design activities at Ho Van.

In addition, there are also programs taking place here: Ao Dai fashion show on the heritage road; Thanh Tan Hanoi painting exhibition; Hanoi Oh art program; Heritage and future exhibition; International scientific discussion on East-West educational and cultural heritage; Red River calls the great forest art program.

At the Hanoi Museum, the public will be able to visit the special exhibition Archaeological Discoveries from the Vuon Chuoi relic and the Puppetry Performance Space - where the art of folk puppetry is renewed through performances and interactive experiences.

In particular, the highlight is the international art program Eternal Moment, with the participation of Swiss composer Dominique Barthassat and creative community groups in Hanoi.

Besides, there is the Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival 2025 from November 7-9 at Hanoi Museum and Hoan Kiem Lake area with many activities honoring the beauty of traditional Ao Dai, associated with cultural and tourism values.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Tug of War rituals and games being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the International Workshop "A Decade of Protection and Promotion of Tug of War Rituals and Games" was also held along with exchange activities and tug of war performances with the participation of international delegations and 10 heritage practicing communities from the following provinces and cities: Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho and Hanoi.

The opening ceremony of the Thang Long-Hanoi Festival 2025 will take place on the evening of November 7 at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the closing ceremony on the evening of November 16 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.
