Financial Times predicts when Tim Cook will leave the CEO position at Apple

(Dan Tri) - According to Financial Times, Apple is considering leadership transition scenarios and the earliest this process could take place is from 2026.

The report suggests that Apple's disclosure earlier this year would allow for a smoother leadership transition.

The reason is that in the second half of the year, Apple will launch a series of important annual events such as the WWDC conference in June and the iPhone launch event in September. However, many opinions expressed doubts about the above information.

"Based on everything I've learned in recent weeks, I don't believe Cook's departure by the middle of next year is likely. In fact, I would be shocked if Cook were to resign during this time. There are few internal signs that Cook is about to leave," Bloomberg 's Mark Gurman said.

In early October, Bloomberg news agency quoted sources inside Apple as saying that the company had built a plan to choose Tim Cook's successor.

John Ternus, Apple's senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, will be at the center of this plan and will likely become Apple's CEO in the future.

Sources said Tim Cook appreciated Ternus' management style, especially his presentation skills, mild personality and ability to find solutions to technical problems.

Neither Apple nor Tim Cook have yet given any confirmation on the timing of the transition.
