Nearly 100 athletes from Dan Phuong commune compete in the Pickleball tournament

Pickleball is a relatively new sport in Vietnam as well as in Dan Phuong commune, but has quickly attracted a large number of people to participate because of its attractiveness, excitement, suitability for all ages and the spirit of mass sports.

This tournament had the participation of nearly 100 athletes from agencies, departments, commune organizations, villages, residential groups, and Pickleball clubs of Dan Phuong commune. Right after the opening ceremony, the match brought the audience many beautiful moves, many genuine sports emotions and spread the spirit of physical training among the masses.

At the tournament, Director of the Culture - Information and Sports Center of Dan Phuong commune Nguyen Manh Ha requested the athletes to compete with all their might, honestly, nobly, obey the rules, respect the opponents and the spirit of good sportsmanship; to dedicate to the audience dramatic, attractive and dedicated matches. The members of the Organizing Committee and the referee team work impartially, objectively and accurately, and run the tournament according to the regulations to ensure fairness for the athletes. The fans should cheer enthusiastically, civilly and healthily, contributing to the success of the tournament.

Before that, following the teachings of beloved President Ho Chi Minh : "To preserve democracy, build the country, create a new life, everything requires good health to be successful." And he also advised: "Each weak citizen makes the whole country weak in part. Each healthy citizen contributes to making the whole country healthy."

Imbued with that ideology, in recent years, the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" in Dan Phuong commune has grown stronger and stronger, attracting a large number of cadres, party members and people to participate.

Traditional sports such as football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, tug of war... are maintained regularly; at the same time, modern and new sports such as Pickleball are also included in training and competition, creating diversity and richness in grassroots sports life.
