The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always actively accompanying, guiding, and supporting localities and businesses in improving the effectiveness of foreign economic relations and international integration.

In his welcoming remarks at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vu Xuan Cuong, affirmed that Lao Cai always considers strengthening economic diplomacy as a top priority in the province's foreign affairs work. With many unique advantages, Lao Cai has been and continues to be a successful destination for investors.

With the motto "businesses prosper, Lao Cai develops; businesses work together, the government accompanies," Lao Cai province always welcomes Thai investors with open arms, while committing to supporting them and considering the success of businesses as its own success.

Mr. Vu Xuan Cuong believes that the second "Meeting Thailand" conference held in Lao Cai will open a new and positive phase of development for the Vietnam-Thailand Strategic Partnership, and for cooperative development between Lao Cai province and other Vietnamese provinces and cities with localities, agencies, organizations, and businesses in Thailand.

The conference focused on two discussion sessions with the themes: Connecting grassroots economies and supply chains, and Connecting culture and sustainable tourism.

The delegates had nearly two hours of productive and detailed discussions on experiences, cooperation proposals, and business orientations from enterprises in the coming period, as well as promoting the potential, strengths, investment attraction policies, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange from their respective localities.
