On the morning of August 22, the Organizing Committee of the "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" Photo and Video Contest announced an extension of the deadline for submissions to 24:00 on October 15 at the address: https://happy.vietnam.vn. "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" is a photo and video contest on the topic of human rights in Vietnam organized annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications , held for the first time in 2023. This is a popular contest for authors, both professional and non-professional, Vietnamese and foreigners, at home or abroad, aged 15 and over. On March 20, the Ministry of Information and Communications launched the contest, connecting online with 63 points at the Department of Information and Communications of provinces and cities. After 5 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received active participation from authors from all 63 provinces and cities nationwide, especially many foreign authors. Out of a total of more than 3,500 photo and video works submitted to the contest up to this point, Quang Ninh province has the largest number of entries with more than 300 works, followed by Hanoi (more than 250 works) and An Giang (more than 200 works). According to the preliminary assessment of the Organizing Committee, the entries have closely followed the content and requirements of the Contest, many works have high artistic value. In order to encourage authors to actively participate, the Organizing Committee has awarded prizes to the works with the highest number of votes in each month. Specifically, in June, in the photo category, the first prize was awarded to the work "Health care for ethnic minorities" by author Ta Quoc Hoi; In the video category, the first prize went to the work "For the eyes of children" by the group Nguyen Phu Binh - Nguyen Tuan Trinh. In July, the first prize in the photo category was awarded to the work "To the Trang An heritage site" by author Nguyen Xuan Truong; the first prize in the video category was awarded to the work "Dawn on the top of the Northwest mountain" by author Vu Tue Giang.

The Award Announcement Ceremony is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2024. Each competition category has prizes and prize values ​​including: 1 Gold Medal (70 million VND); 2 Silver Medals (20 million VND/prize); 3 Bronze Medals (10 million VND/prize); 10 Encouragement Prizes (5 million VND/prize) and 1 prize for the most voted work (5 million VND). The "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" contest is held periodically to introduce and promote the image of the country, Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values ​​across the country; arouse national pride and development aspirations among all classes of people to join hands to build Vietnam to be more and more prosperous, prosperous and happy.
