Rice price today December 2, 2025: No strong fluctuations, transactions in many provinces remain stable. Lam Dong deploys the allocation of 1,000 tons of reserve rice to support people after floods.

Rice prices today remain stable in many provinces of the Mekong Delta.

According to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang, the price of fresh rice today, December 2, continues to remain at an average level. IR 50404 rice fluctuates at 5,200 - 5,300 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 rice are both purchased at around 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg. OM 5451 rice is at 5,200 - 5,300 VND/kg.

In Dong Thap, supply is lower so farmers offer high prices and transactions are successful. Vinh Long has many good quality fields so farmers keep prices low, while some traders still maintain their old purchase prices. An Giang , Can Tho and Tay Ninh provinces have recorded good demand for fragrant and sticky rice, with little fluctuation in prices.

The price of raw rice for export fluctuated narrowly. IR 504 rice was purchased at 7,550 - 7,650 VND/kg. CL 555 rice was stable at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg. Dai Thom 8 rice was at 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg.

Raw rice OM 380 is traded at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg. Sticky rice is at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg. OM 5451 fluctuates at 7,950 - 8,100 VND/kg. OM 18 remains at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg. Finished rice IR 504 is at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

At retail markets, consumer rice prices remained stable. Nang Nhen rice was at its highest level of 28,000 VND/kg. Regular rice was traded at 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg. Huong Lai rice was 22,000 VND/kg. Many types of fragrant rice such as Jasmine, Nang Hoa, Soc Thai rice, Nhat rice... also remained at the same price as the previous day.

In the export market, Vietnamese rice prices remained unchanged compared to the weekend, according to the Vietnam Food Association. 5% broken fragrant rice fluctuated between 420 and 440 USD/ton; 100% broken rice fluctuated between 314 and 318 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice fluctuated between 447 and 451 USD/ton.

Lam Dong province has just completed allocating 1,000 tons of national reserve rice to support people affected by floods. The natural disaster has caused heavy damage, estimated at more than 1,200 billion VND. The recovery work has been completed, and people have returned to normal production. The Provincial People's Committee has allocated 1,000 tons of rice to support 41 affected communes and wards.

Some localities received large amounts of rice due to heavy damage, including Quang Lap commune (60 tons), D'ran (50 tons), Ham Thuan (50 tons) and Ham Thang ward (40 tons).

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region XIII and localities to unify the time and location for receiving and delivering national reserve rice.

The People's Committees of communes and wards must receive rice quickly and distribute it promptly and to the right people. The costs of loading and transporting rice to villages and hamlets are covered from the local budget.

Along with that, localities must organize famine relief for people affected by natural disasters, ensuring timeliness, correct standards, publicity and transparency.
