The rice market on December 2, 2025 has an upward trend in fresh rice products, and transactions are also quite prosperous.

Rice price today (December 2) is stable, supply is low, farmers proactively offer high prices, transactions are closed regularly.

• IR 50404 rice (fresh) is priced around 5,200 - 5,300 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) is traded at 5,300 - 5,500 VND/kg; OM 18 rice (fresh) is priced at 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg;
• OM 380 rice (fresh) is around 5,700 - 5,900 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is priced at 6,000 - 6,200 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) is fluctuating around 5,600 - 5,700 VND/kg.
• The price of IR 4625 sticky rice (fresh) is at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; while IR 4625 sticky rice (dried) is at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg. The price of 3-month-old dry sticky rice is trading around 9,600 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Update rice price today December 2, 2025 latest

Rice prices today (December 2) have changed little, trading is active, warehouses are still asking to buy fragrant and sticky rice, new Autumn-Winter rice of good quality and easy to sell.

• The price of raw rice IR 50404 is at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; finished rice IR 50404 is at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg;
• The price of raw rice OM 5451 fluctuates at 7,950 - 8,100 VND/kg; while raw rice OM 18 costs 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg.
• Raw rice OM 380 is priced at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; finished rice OM 380 is priced at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, raw rice CL 555 is priced at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg.
• The price of IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,700 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg. The price of Soc Det raw rice is 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg. The price of Dai Thom 8 rice is traded around 8,700 - 8,900 VND/kg.
• Sticky rice price is 21,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Regular rice is at 11,000 - 12,000 VND/kg; Nang Nhen rice is priced at 28,000 VND/kg.
• The price of long grain fragrant rice is 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice is 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice remains at 22,000 VND/kg.
• The purchase price of common white rice is 16,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is 21,000 VND/kg; Soc Thuong rice is 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg; and Soc Thai rice is 20,000 VND/kg.
• Taiwanese fragrant rice is currently priced at 20,000 VND/kg; while Japanese rice is currently priced at 22,000 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of fragrant rice bran is at 7,450 - 7,550 VND/kg, the price of bran is at 9,000 - 10,000 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnamese rice prices remain stable. Accordingly, 100% broken rice is priced at 314 - 318 USD/ton; 5% broken rice is purchased at 420 - 440 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice is priced at 447 - 451 USD/ton.

Thus, the price of rice today, December 2, 2025, has no new changes compared to yesterday.

Khanh Hoa urgently restores production after historic floods

From November 16 to 22, Khanh Hoa suffered from prolonged heavy rains with rainfall of 450-950 mm, causing river water levels to rise above historical flood levels, especially Dinh Ninh Hoa River, which was 0.19 m higher than the 1986 mark. Widespread flooding occurred in 57/64 communes and wards; farmers' rice seeds were completely soaked and damaged.

In Dien Dien commune, the flood zone, the water level in some places exceeded 2 meters, causing 9,757 households to be flooded and all 5 agricultural cooperatives to lose rice seeds. The local government has requested the province to soon support seeds for the 2025/26 winter-spring crop.

Faced with the massive damage, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province has issued an emergency recovery plan, requiring the completion of rice re-production support before December 15. Localities have been directed to drain water, clean fields, improve soil and prepare seeds according to the crop schedule. Farmers are advised to harvest the fallen ripe rice early and proactively prevent pests and diseases after the flood.

From November 29 to December 5, crop and plant protection stations directly guided people to restore production. The 2025/26 winter-spring crop sowing schedule has been issued, with the starting time from December 15 depending on the region. The local seed source is still guaranteed, but the province has proposed the central government to support funding so that people can proactively buy suitable seeds for the new crop.
