Cave exploration and sun hunting in Quang Binh

From the end of November, when the rainy season ends, Quang Binh becomes an attractive destination for those who love to explore. This is the right time to start the journey into the caves of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, especially Hang En.

In December, visitors have the chance to witness a unique natural phenomenon when the sun's rays penetrate deep into the cave, creating a magical scene. According to tour guides, this is an experience that is almost guaranteed to happen if visitors go on a sunny day.

International Tea Festival in Lam Dong

In Da Lat and some tea regions of Lam Dong province, World Tea Fest 2025 will be held for the first time on an international scale. Although taking place from November 11 to December 7, the main events will be concentrated from December 5 to 7. The festival is expected to attract about 20,000 participants with many diverse activities such as tea exhibition fair, high-level conference on tea industry, tea culture experience space, and exchange and experience programs in the growing areas.

Cao Phong Orange Festival in Hoa Binh

From December 12 to 18, the Cao Phong Orange Festival will be held at the square and cultural house of Cao Phong commune, Hoa Binh province. Cao Phong oranges are famous for their round, thin-skinned, sweet fruit and are a popular specialty. This year's festival has about 120 booths, of which 60 booths display and sell products made from oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit booths selling plant varieties, handicrafts, and local specialties.

Nearby destinations like Singapore and Hong Kong are always popular choices. In Singapore, the Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay (29 November - 1 January 2026) and the Orchard Road Lights Festival (8 November - 1 January 2026) bring a festive atmosphere. In Hong Kong, the WinterFest 2025 (14 November - 4 January 2026) features a "Christmas Town" and a giant 20m-tall Christmas tree. However, visitors are advised to check the schedule as some activities may be cancelled.

New Year's Countdown in Sydney

Sydney, Australia, is one of the first places in the world to welcome the new year and is famous for its spectacular fireworks display. The festival at the Sydney Harbour Bridge attracts a large number of locals and tourists with cultural programs, games and a vibrant atmosphere that lasts from the last day of the old year to the first day of the new year. To get a good spot, many people often come early, camp and prepare food and drinks for the whole day.

Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, China

The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, Heilongjiang Province, will officially open on January 5, 2026, but the ice and snow park will start welcoming visitors from December 20. This is an opportunity to admire the giant and magnificent ice sculptures. The ideal time to visit is from 3 p.m. to see the works in both daylight and magical lighting effects in the evening.
