Pi price on OKX exchange on April 5, 2025 is fluctuating around the price from 0.5114 USD to 0.5947 USD (equivalent to 13,200 VND to 15,350 VND. Thus, at the time of writing, Pi price on OKX exchange decreased by 2.3% compared to yesterday, reaching 13,890 VND
Pi Coin prices are falling sharply, and analysts say the main reason comes from investor concerns, despite the success of PiFest. Although Pi Network is working to expand its practical application, many people are still skeptical about Pi's liquidity and ability to list on major exchanges.
Another reason is that Pi Network still does not have a clear development roadmap, nor does it provide specific information about its financial plan. This makes investors increasingly cautious.
While PiFest showed that Pi can be used in local commerce, converting that use into price momentum has not been easy. Pi’s decline has also been impacted by internal issues such as slow ecosystem development, difficult KYC processes, and doubts about the project’s transparency.
Unexpected disaster due to US tariffs
In addition, Pi is also affected by external factors, especially the new US tariff policy announced by President Donald Trump. This policy has created a huge wave of fluctuations across the entire cryptocurrency market.
Immediately after the announcement of the new countervailing tax rate, most major coins recorded a decrease.
Bitcoin fell 1.3% to $83,315. Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, also lost 2.9% to $1,824. Other popular coins such as XRP, Solana and Cardano fell 1.68%, 3.87% and 1.7%, respectively.
Even the memecoin group wasn’t immune to the decline. Dogecoin lost 2.5% of its value, while TRUMP plunged as much as 9%.
In that trend, Pi Coin was not only caught up but also fell more sharply than many other coins. Faced with this price decline, some investors chose to sell off to cut losses, in order to limit prolonged losses.
