Domestic pepper prices updated on the morning of April 29, 2025 |
Experts say that the sideways and stable pepper prices in recent days are the result of a balance between limited supply and stable demand, along with producers’ strategies to hold onto their stocks. It is expected that, if there are no unexpected factors, this trend may continue in the short term.
In the short term, pepper prices may continue to remain high or increase slightly. Pepper prices are forecast to reach over VND200,000/kg in 2025, due to continued decline in supply and high demand. However, the market also faces risks from exchange rate fluctuations and the global economic situation.
Currently, if there are no major fluctuations in supply or demand, pepper prices tomorrow may fluctuate in the range of VND155,000–157,000/kg. Farmers should consider appropriate sales strategies, avoiding dumping during the harvest season to take advantage of higher prices.

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), prolonged drought in the first months of 2025 has significantly affected pepper production in the Central Highlands and Southeastern provinces.
Faced with this situation, farmers need solutions to maintain good plant growth and ensure productivity, including applying drip irrigation technology to save water, using covering materials to keep the soil moist and reduce evaporation...
Vietnam's pepper harvest is at its peak and is expected to last until the end of April 2025. The news of the US's reciprocal tariffs caused pepper prices to drop sharply in early April 2025, but soon after, they rose back to their previous levels, helping people feel secure in production.

Update world pepper prices on the morning of April 29, 2025 |
Although pepper prices have increased compared to last year, pepper replanting has not been strong in the provinces due to the lack of new land or farmers planting crops with higher economic value than pepper, so it is expected that the production area will be difficult to increase in 2025.
