Pepper prices today in some key growing areas continue to remain the same as yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 147,000 VND/kg to 148,000 VND/kg.

In the Central Highlands region, pepper prices today in Dak Lak remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 148,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau are currently at 147,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 147,000 VND/kg.

In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today 5/29/2025: Exports decrease sharply

In the context of many international fluctuations and increasing competitive pressure, the Vietnamese pepper industry is proactively upgrading the value chain to maintain its export position. On May 27, 2025, Dak Lak 2/9 Import-Export Company Limited (Simexco Daklak) officially inaugurated the No. 2 Sterilized Pepper Processing Factory at Hoa Phu Branch, Dak Lak Province.

The inauguration of the new factory is an important step in the deep processing strategy, aiming to meet the strict standards of global customers and increase the added value of Vietnamese pepper. The factory's production line is BRC certified, one of the highest international standards for food safety and quality.

This is a clear demonstration of Simexco Daklak’s production capacity, strict quality control and commitment to sustainable development. At the same time, the event also demonstrates the determination of the Vietnamese pepper industry in improving technology and increasing competitiveness in the world market.

Pepper price today May 29 in the world market

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has updated the prices of pepper of all types traded in the international market on May 28 (local time) as follows:

Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 7,427/ton (down 0.27%). In addition, Muntok white pepper prices also decreased slightly compared to yesterday at USD 10,125/ton (down 0.3%).

Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,650/mt.

Malaysia's ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,150/ton. Meanwhile, the country's ASTA white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $11,850/ton.

Prices of all types of pepper in Vietnam decreased sharply compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,500 USD/ton (down 3.08%); 550 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton (down 3.03%).

Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price dropped sharply compared to yesterday, reaching 9,500 USD/ton (down 2.11%).

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), citing data from the International Trade Center (ITC), in the first three months of 2025, total global pepper imports reached 80,620 tons. This figure is down 8.1% compared to the same period in 2024, but still 6.1% higher than the same period in 2023. The figures do not currently include imports from Vietnam.

The US continues to be the world's largest pepper importer with more than 21,500 tons, accounting for nearly 27% of total global imports and up nearly 9% over the same period. India ranks second with more than 10,600 tons, up sharply by nearly 46%.

Other major markets also recorded significant increases, with Germany up more than 30% and France up more than 10%. In particular, China grew by 108%, showing that demand is recovering strongly in this market.
