Disbursement of 452 billion VND for site clearance of Cao Lanh

(ABO) On January 13, the leader of the People's Committee of Cai Be district, Tien Giang province said that up to now, the locality has disbursed all 452 billion VND assigned in 2023 to carry out site clearance work for Component 2 of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Project, Phase 1.

Accordingly, Cai Be district was allocated capital in 2 phases to carry out site clearance work (phase 1 is 350 billion VND and phase 2 is 102 billion VND). Currently, the locality has completed paying 100% of the capital plan assigned in 2023 to households affected by the project.

Also according to the leader of Cai Be District People's Committee, after the Government decided to adjust the total investment of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway Project Phase 1, the locality is carrying out procedures to pay compensation and support to people in An Thai Trung commune.

For Tan Hung commune, the locality's top priority is land acquisition for resettlement areas. So that when the district completes the land acquisition, people will have a place to live. Up to now, the land acquisition for resettlement areas and access roads are being prepared for construction.

“Currently, additional funding for site clearance work for Component 2 of the project is available. It is expected that the locality will try to pay compensation and support to people in An Thai Trung commune before the Lunar New Year 2024,” added the leader of Cai Be District People's Committee.

According to the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Projects of Tien Giang province, Component Project 2 (Km16+000 - Km27+430) is managed by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province.

The starting point of Component Project 2 intersects with Component Project 1 at Km16+000 in My Hiep commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province; the end point intersects with Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway at about Km98+950 (about 1.8 km from An Thai Trung intersection) in An Thai Trung commune, Cai Be district.

Component 2 project has a total length of about 11.43 km; of which about 3.81 km is in Dong Thap province and about 7.62 km is in Tien Giang province.

Phase 1 of the project includes 4 limited expressway lanes (each lane is 3.5 m wide) with a roadbed width of 17 m and an operating speed of 80 km/h; the completed phase includes 4 expressway lanes (each lane is 3.75 m wide) with a roadbed width of 24.75 m and an operating speed of 100 km/h.

Component project 2 has 2 interconnecting intersections including: Intersection with Provincial Road 850 in Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province; Intersection with Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway in Cai Be district.

Component 2 project has 10 bridges on the route, of which 2 bridges are in Dong Thap province and 8 bridges are in Tien Giang province; 25 culverts, of which 10 culverts are in Dong Thap province and 15 culverts are in Tien Giang province.

The residential road is about 11.95 km long; of which Dong Thap is about 3 km and Tien Giang is about 8.95 km.

The project completes the construction of traffic safety systems and protective works according to National Technical Regulation on Road Signs QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT and arranges lighting works at intersections.

The project is invested with state budget capital. After the Government's adjustment decision, Component Project 2 has a total investment of about 3,856 billion VND (of which the cost of site clearance is about 1,255 billion VND).

Of which, the 2021 - 2025 period is about 2,941 billion VND, including: Capital source under the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program is 459 billion VND; capital source for the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021 - 2025 period from the central budget is 872 billion VND; general reserve capital source for the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021 - 2025 period from the central budget; transition to the 2026 - 2030 period is about 915 billion VND.
