Honoring typical products of cooperatives
The ceremony to honor the cooperative's outstanding products and award the first Mai An Tiem Award in 2024 (Coop Gold Product Awards 2024) will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 11, 2024, at the Army Theater, 130 Ho Tung Mau Street, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi and will be broadcast live on VTC6 channel.
The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance chose to honor the cooperative product with the meaning of the story of Mai An Tiem, a beautiful symbol of the entrepreneurial spirit of the Vietnamese people from thousands of years ago. Exiled to a deserted island, but with the will to overcome difficulties and creativity, Mai An Tiem turned the wilderness into a fruit garden, leaving behind a precious watermelon variety that is forever associated with his name. That resilient and creative spirit is not only the pride of the past but is also expected to become a source of inspiration for today's generations. In particular, with the cooperative economy and cooperative model, the spirit of Mai An Tiem will continue to spread, contributing to building a strong and developed Vietnam, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as Uncle Ho always wished.

After nearly half a year since its launch, the Mai An Tiem Award has received enthusiastic responses from the Cooperative Unions of provinces and cities, with efforts to promote and mobilize cooperatives to register to participate. The selected products all belong to cooperatives with stable production and business activities and sustainable development. The Award has attracted hundreds of applications from cooperatives across the country, with diverse industries, from agriculture, handicrafts, small-scale industry, tourism, food and beverage...
The participating products are diverse in types, outstanding in quality, many products meet OCOP standards from 3 - 5 stars or other prestigious titles awarded by central ministries, branches or provincial People's Committees. With beautiful designs, packaging, clear origin, the products not only win the trust of domestic consumers but also reach out to the international market.
After a long period of voting, the Central Voting Council has selected 100 typical products of cooperatives nationwide in the list of the first Mai An Tiem Awards organized by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, to honor impressive, creative and effective cooperative products.
Of the 100 products honored at the first Mai An Tiem Awards, 75 were in the food and beverage sector, 10 were from medicinal herbs and medicinal preparations, 13 were from handicrafts and small-scale industries, and 2 were from the tourism sector.
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance will launch the Action Month for Cooperatives and the International Year of Cooperatives - 2025.
