Facing the underdog U23 Kuwait, U23 Uzbekistan easily dominated the game. Despite creating numerous opportunities, the West Asian team only managed one goal in the first half, scored by Davronov in the 32nd minute.
However, in the second half, Uzbekistan U23 played explosively and scored four more goals thanks to Hamraliev, Erkinov, Holmatov, and Norchaev. Kuwait U23 had a player sent off in the 71st minute when Hamad Al Taweel received a red card after a rough tackle on Norchaev.

After defeating Kuwait U23 5-0, Uzbekistan U23 followed Vietnam U23 in securing a place in the quarter-finals of the AFC U23 Asian Championship, both teams having 6 points. However, the West Asian representative topped the group due to a better goal difference than Vietnam U23 (7-0 compared to 5-1).
In the final match of Group D at the 2024 AFC U23 Asian Championship at 10:30 PM on April 23rd, Vietnam U23 and Uzbekistan U23 will face each other in a match to determine the top spot in the group. Both Malaysia U23 and Kuwait U23 have been eliminated without earning any points.
