The Hanoi Department of Education and Training in collaboration with IIG Vietnam Education Organization launched the International Young Informatics Talent Competition - Hanoi City for the 2025-2026 school year for students from grades 3 to 12 across the city.
This year, the competition was launched with many new breakthroughs, including two competition tables: International IT Skills and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications. Accordingly, students will experience tests according to international assessment standards of the United States including IC3 Spark for Primary School, IC3 for Secondary School, MOS for High School and Gen AI for Secondary School and High School.

This year, for the first time, Hanoi students have direct access to the international Generative AI Foundations exam developed by Certiport (USA), helping middle and high school students learn basic knowledge about artificial intelligence, practice building prompts and apply AI tools to study and life safely and responsibly.

The competition is divided into 3 rounds: Qualifying round (held at schools, from December 2025 to January 2026); preliminary round (expected to be held on March 22, 2026) and Final round (expected to be held on April 5, 2026).
At each round, the Organizing Committee will award Certificates to candidates with high results. In particular, excellent students in the Final Round will receive Certificates of Achievement from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training along with medals and prizes from the Organizing Committee.
In addition, high school students who win First, Second, and Third Prizes (International IT Skills category) will be directly recruited into the team of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to participate in the National Qualifying Round of the 2026 MOS World Championship.
