On June 3, the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training (DET) held a conference to guide the work of invigilation of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

At the conference, the leader of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that from the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi plans to put 3 high schools into operation. These are: Phuc Thinh High School - Dong Anh District, Do Muoi High School - Hoang Mai District and 1 high school located in Cau Giay District.

Immediately after the decision to establish, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will review and approve additional enrollment quotas for these three new schools. It is expected that each school will enroll 10 classes with about more than 400 quotas.

To ensure the quality of input, the proposed enrollment plan for these 3 schools is to consider the region-based enrollment. With the operation of the 3 high schools mentioned above, Hanoi is expected to increase the quota for public 10th grade by more than 1,200 students, meeting the wishes of parents and students in the capital.

The entrance exam for grade 10 public high schools will take place on June 7 and 8. This is a highly competitive exam because the enrollment quota for public schools only accounts for about 64% of the total number of registered candidates. Therefore, the invigilation of the exam plays a key role in ensuring the exam is serious, objective and fair.

This year's exam has nearly 103,000 candidates registered to take the 10th grade entrance exam at non-specialized public high schools. Hanoi has arranged 201 official exam sites with more than 4,400 exam rooms, along with a system of backup exam sites in districts, towns, and cities to be ready to handle unexpected situations such as bad weather, power outages, or other objective factors.

To organize this large-scale exam, the city mobilized more than 15,000 officials, teachers, and employees to perform exam supervision, service, and technical support duties. Nearly 1,000 police officers were also assigned to ensure security and safety at exam sites and surrounding areas.

This year, Hanoi has a 10th grade entrance exam for public schools with 3 subjects: Literature, Math, Foreign Language. The scores of the subjects are calculated on a 10-point scale, without any coefficient.

Exam results and benchmark scores will be announced at the same time, expected between July 4-6.
