Prescription drugs, business must have enough invoices
Pharmaceutical businesses and medical examination and treatment facilities must review the drug purchasing and supply process in the past; ensure that the drugs supplied are licensed for circulation and supplied by legal pharmaceutical businesses, with full invoices and documents.
That is one of the requirements of the Director of Hanoi Department of Health for pharmaceutical businesses and medical examination and treatment facilities in Hanoi.
Public and non-public medical examination and treatment facilities must comply with drug quality control during the import and storage process.

The Director of the Hanoi Department of Health also requested that business and treatment establishments must report and provide quality management records in case of detecting suspicious or unusual drugs or drugs that have not been licensed for circulation.
According to the latest plan on inspection and control of drug and pharmaceutical ingredient quality in Hanoi in 2025, the Hanoi Department of Health will conduct large-scale inspections of medical business and treatment establishments.
For drug business establishments, focus on inspecting and maintaining "good practice" principles and standards in the process of trading, circulating and using drugs within the granted business scope.
At the same time, check compliance with regulations on quality control of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients at the production facility (origin, legal invoices and documents, inspection certificates before and after production; retention of documents and information related to drug quality during the purchase, sale, import and export process) to ensure traceability of the origin and quality of drugs during circulation and use.
Check the connection of inter-connected data, transfer of drug purchase and sale information, drug quality between suppliers and customers and update data into the national pharmaceutical database.
Checking prescription compliance in hospitals
In public and non-public hospitals, we will focus on checking Inspect the process of selecting drug suppliers; compliance with regulations on prescribing and selling prescription drugs to outpatients; control drug quality during the process of importing and storing drugs in the hospital. The inspection process will take samples for testing.
In all cases where the origin of drugs cannot be shown, depending on the severity, the director of the department will be proposed to consider handling according to regulations.
Drugs of unknown origin, drugs not yet permitted for circulation, counterfeit drugs... will be transferred to the authorities for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
Consider revoking the certificate of eligibility for drug business in cases of violations that affect drug quality or are not in accordance with regulations on drug business.
"Along with planned inspections, the department will conduct surprise inspections if it detects problems related to drug quality violations, to trace the origin of the product," said a representative of the Hanoi Department of Health.
