According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co, Director of Bach Mai Hospital, to ensure the reduction of the load on facility 1 and improve the quality of treatment, Bach Mai Hospital facility 2 is an extension of facility 1 (in Hanoi). Over the past years, the hospital has recruited and trained, proactively human resources, doctors, nurses, logistics; proactively equipped the entire list of medical equipment; and at the same time prepared for the information technology system at facility 2 to connect with facility 1.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co said that when it comes into operation, the second facility will have better conditions to serve patients because of its better infrastructure than the first facility, new and synchronized equipment, while the professional staff is equivalent. Along with the newly trained team of doctors, the doctors from the first facility will take turns working at the second facility; the head of the department at the first facility will be the head of the department at the second facility, responsible for the professional expertise of the department at both facilities. The hospital estimates that with a scale of 1,000 beds, it will need about 1,200 medical staff.
In addition, Bach Mai Hospital also proposed that the Ministry of Health submit to competent authorities for approval of phase 2, after the second facility comes into operation, to further upgrade equipment and information technology.
Regarding Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Dr. Duong Duc Hung, Director of the Hospital, said that in previous years, he has focused on human resources, so that as soon as the second facility in Ha Nam was operational, there would be good doctors and nurses with professional expertise. The second facility with a scale of 1,000 beds, the number of workers needed is about 2,000 people to serve well the medical examination, treatment, and surgery, according to the specialized requirements of the leading hospital in surgery.
