Two students fought during a field trip, injuring one person.

Speaking with VOV.VN, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Thang, Principal of Mai Lam Secondary School (Dong Anh, Hanoi ) said that the above incident is true.

During a field trip to Nui Coc Lake ( Thai Nguyen ) on January 9, while lining up to get on the slide, a student from the school argued and had a conflict with a student from Thanh Lam A Secondary School (Me Linh, Hanoi). As a result, a student from Mai Lam Secondary School was injured.

“The students brought a fruit knife, during the fight they used a knife, they did not bring any weapons before. Immediately after the incident, the police investigated and resolved the case. The injured student's health was stable. The next day, he went to school as usual. The school also reported the incident to the Department of Education and Training, the two families as well as the two students came to talk, realized their mistakes, and promised not to repeat the offense,” said Mr. Hoang Ngoc Thang.

Mr. Nguyen Truong San, Principal of Thanh Lam A Secondary School (Me Linh, Hanoi) said that the incident happened unexpectedly, due to the students' impulsiveness: "The two schools are in two different districts, the students did not know each other or had any previous conflicts. While lining up, due to anger and impulsiveness of adolescence, the unfortunate incident happened. The knife used in the incident was a fruit knife brought by a student of Mai Lam Secondary School. After returning to Hanoi, the school board, homeroom teachers and the students' families visited the students of Mai Lam Secondary School."

The principal of Thanh Lam A Secondary School also said that the school had held a meeting to review the students involved in the incident as well as to inform the whole school to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
