Hai Phong City prioritizes investment and upgrading of inter-regional road traffic infrastructure, while simultaneously developing seaports, waterways, and aviation, notably Lach Huyen Port and Cat Bi International Airport. This is an important foundation to help the city affirm its role as a major logistics center of the country, creating favorable conditions to expand international trade, attract investment, and promote sustainable socio-economic development. On that basis, urban space is increasingly expanded, infrastructure is gradually completed, and urbanization is taking place rapidly. The urbanization rate reaches 68.94%. Notably, Hai Phong has resolutely implemented social housing projects, exceeding the target assigned by the Prime Minister by 2025 of 15,400 units. The city is also gradually resolving the social housing issue by renovating and rebuilding old apartment buildings, typically completing buildings HH1, HH2, HH3, HH4 in Dong Quoc Binh, while also arranging a fund for re-rented and resettled housing to serve the people. In the western area of Hai Phong, urban development is oriented towards green, smart, and sustainable; the urbanization rate reaches about 45%. The western part of the city has previously planned a new strategic road traffic system with 6 North-South connecting axes, 9 East-West connecting axes... On that basis, resources have been concentrated on implementing 57 important traffic projects, with a total length of nearly 285 km and a total investment of approximately 30,000 billion VND. Up to now, 15 projects have been completed and put into operation, 16 projects are under construction and 26 projects are in the investment preparation stage. Mobilizing social resources to invest in 4 traffic projects, and simultaneously coordinating the construction of 6 large river-crossing bridges, including: Kenh Vang Bridge, Dong Viet Bridge, Quang Thanh Bridge, Hai Hung Bridge and Dinh Bridge, contributing to completing inter-regional connectivity. The projects are implemented in accordance with the motto of developing social housing associated with renovating and handling old apartment buildings, ensuring that people have the conditions to live in new, more spacious and higher quality housing areas. The new Hai Phong city is continuing to expand urban space, focusing on investing in a system of parks, squares, walking paths, and trees to improve the quality of life for people. From traffic infrastructure projects, social housing areas to green parks, squares… all are moving towards a modern, smart, sustainable city.DO TUAN - LE DUNG - HOANG PHUOC
