Hai Phong supports the effective implementation of 5 agricultural extension models

model 1 — Mr. Pham Van Thanh's family in Kien Thuy commune harvests frogs.

According to the Agricultural Extension Center (Department of Agriculture and Environment), by 2025, the city will have 5 agricultural extension models that have been supported for implementation.

The models include: Applying ozone to treat water for intensive eel farming in mud-free tanks for 1 household in Kien Hung commune; intensive frog farming in cages on tilapia ponds according to VietGAP associated with product consumption linkage on an area of 1,170 m2 ^cages /1.5 ha of ponds for 3 households in Kien Thuy, Chan Hung, Vinh Am communes; commercial earthworm farming combined with rice cultivation associated with product consumption linkage on an area of 10.5 ha for 3 households in Vinh Hai, Vinh Thuan, Tan Minh communes; earthworm farming combined with rice production associated with product consumption linkage on an area of 5 ha for 2 households in Tan Minh commune; grouper farming (Pearl grouper) in HDPE cages at sea with VietGAP certification associated with product consumption for 1 household in Cat Hai.

model 2 — Officials of the City Agricultural Extension Center inspected the eel farming model using ozone to treat water for intensive eel farming in mud-free tanks in Kien Hung commune.

The models have been deployed for 3-4 months. The subjects have grown and developed well, and some models have been harvested.

Through monitoring and evaluation by the City Agricultural Extension Center, the implemented models all achieved high economic efficiency, reduced production costs, and ensured environmental sanitation.

For example, the intensive frog farming model in cages on tilapia ponds according to VietGAP associated with product consumption linkage at 3 households in the communes: Kien Thuy, Chan Hung, Vinh Am, after 3 months of farming, the pond water environment indicators are stable within the suitable range for frog and fish growth, the survival rate is over 85%, the yield is 34.5 kg/m ² cage... After deducting costs, the model gives a profit of nearly 370 million/1,170 m ² cage/1.5 ha of pond. In the coming time, the models need to continue to be replicated.

model 4 — Ozone application model for water treatment for intensive eel farming in mud-free tanks in Kien Hung commune.

The models also bring social and environmental benefits, create jobs, and increase income for local people. The models are guided to apply according to VietGAP standards to help change the thinking of producers, creating a safe working environment...
