A series of dangerous "buffalo holes" and "chicken holes" appeared on National Highway 1.

QTO - On National Highway 1, from Nam Dong Ha ward to Quang Tri ward, there are currently a series of "buffalo holes" and "chicken holes" that pose a potential danger to people and vehicles. People are concerned that if this situation is not soon inspected and handled by the authorities, it could lead to unfortunate traffic accidents.

According to records, dozens of "buffalo potholes" and "chicken potholes" have appeared along the National Highway 1 in recent days. Among them, there are deep holes about 1.5 m long, nearly 1 m wide, 20 - 30 cm deep recorded at the section passing through Lai Phuoc quarter, Nam Dong Ha ward; Phuoc My village, Ai Tu commune; An Don quarter, Quang Tri ward.

Residents living near these deep holes said that in recent days, many people and vehicles have stumbled into the holes and fallen onto the road, but fortunately, no serious incidents have occurred so far. According to residents, although some of the holes have appeared for about a week, there are still no warning signs.

Concerned about the danger to pedestrians, especially when it rains or at night when visibility is limited, some people have used tree branches to place in deep holes to warn of danger. Given the above situation of potentially dangerous deep holes, it is recommended that relevant authorities promptly inspect and take decisive measures to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
