Thousands of tourists come to visit Phu Quoc Tourism and Culinary Festival 2025

Kien Giang hopes that through the Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival 2025, it will not only strengthen connections and promote culture, cuisine, and people, but also create momentum to prepare for events serving APEC 2027.

On the evening of April 29, in Phu Quoc City, the Kien Giang Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center coordinated with provincial departments and Phu Quoc City People's Committee to open the Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival 2025.

This is an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and to prepare for the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum in Phu Quoc in 2027 (APEC 2027).

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee - said that Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival 2025 is an opportunity for businesses to exchange, meet, introduce and promote the image and tourism products of Phu Quoc to domestic and foreign tourists.

Through this, the locality hopes to increase tourism stimulus activities, attracting visitors to Phu Quoc during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

"Phu Quoc is currently a destination that attracts a lot of international tourists. The Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival in 2025 not only contributes to promoting the beauty of culture, traditional cuisine, and people on the island, but also serves as a stepping stone to prepare for the APEC 2027 event," Mr. Phong emphasized.

At around 7:00 p.m. the same day, at Dinh Cau Square (Duong Dong Ward), thousands of domestic and foreign tourists and local people came to visit and play. In particular, everyone enjoyed shopping and eating many types of traditional southern cakes such as banh tet, banh u, banh bo, banh da lon...

In addition, visitors can also visit and shop for traditional Phu Quoc fish sauce, dried anchovies, pepper products (candied pepper, pepper salt, dried pepper...).

Phu Quoc Tourism and Cuisine Festival 2025 takes place from April 29 to May 1 and has many activities such as Kien Giang tourism promotion space, Phu Quoc cuisine space, space to introduce export products, OCOP products, typical products of the province...
