(NLDO) - Khanh Hoa province urgently established an interdisciplinary inspection team to control the declaration, posting and compliance with accommodation service prices during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Finance to urgently establish an interdisciplinary inspection team to check compliance with the law on price declaration, price posting and selling at listed prices of tourist accommodation service businesses in the province on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.

Thereby, promptly detecting and correcting shortcomings in state management, and strictly handling violations according to the provisions of law, in order to create a healthy business environment for organizations and individuals doing business in accommodation services.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested to check the correct authority, functions, tasks, powers and legal procedures.

The inspection team must ensure that the inspection content is focused and key, meeting the requirements of state management at all levels, sectors and the province's socio -economic development, while not affecting the business activities of the inspected business establishments.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested the inspection team to report the results and propose handling content before May 5.

Currently, Nha Trang City ranks 4th in the list of domestic tourist destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists on the occasion of April 30 and May 1.

According to the survey, the number of guests booking rooms at hotels is increasing, the room occupancy rate of many accommodation facilities has reached 75% or more. Resorts in Bai Dai and hotels along Nha Trang beach have room occupancy rate of about 90%.

"The highlight this year is that the number of guests from Dak Lak, the Central Highlands provinces and Ho Chi Minh City booking rooms has increased dramatically. The current trend of domestic guests is not to book long in advance but usually arrange work before booking rooms. Therefore, we still leave a certain number of rooms to welcome this flow of domestic guests" - Mr. Thuc said.
