Cooking with charcoal and firewood cannot control the temperature and depends on experience, causing the quality of oil on weapons and equipment to be uneven. Especially when storing small-sized supplies, having to cook a large amount of oil is both wasteful of fuel and inefficient.
Based on the above facts, Captain Nguyen Dinh Giap, Head of the General Repair Station, Warehouse K3 (Department of Logistics and Engineering of Military Region 4) has researched and manufactured a device to cook oil for materials and small spare parts of weapons and equipment, making the preservation and maintenance process at Warehouse K3 more convenient, safe and economical. The device has the ability to automatically control temperature, reducing costs by more than 80% compared to traditional cooking methods.

| Captain Nguyen Dinh Giap introduced the initiative "Equipment for cooking oil, sealing materials and small spare parts". |
The structure of the device includes: a stand, an electronic microchip control panel with a temperature control relay knob, a status indicator light, a temperature gauge, an anti-leakage circuit, a component box, a sealing oil tank, a heating wire, and a protective cover. Captain Nguyen Dinh Giap turned on the switch, the power indicator light turned red, signaling that the device was ready to operate. He adjusted the relay knob and introduced: “When the power is supplied, the green light will light up, indicating that the device is working. When the oil temperature reaches the set level, the circuit will automatically turn off; when it drops, the device will automatically turn on the power again, helping to maintain a stable temperature according to technical standards. The electronic temperature gauge helps the worker accurately monitor the working process, minimizing harmful effects on health. In case of electric leakage, the anti-leakage circuit will automatically turn off to ensure safety.”
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Manh Hung, Head of Warehouse K3, Department of Logistics and Engineering, commented: "This device is compact, operates stably and safely, effectively serving the work of preservation, maintenance, sealing, and inventory at warehouses, stations, and workshops; especially in the process of preserving and maintaining small spare parts and supplies, helping to improve work efficiency, save costs, time, and labor as well as reduce environmental impact and protect workers' health."
