Revealing the cause of the aviation tragedy that killed 75 people

On March 23, 1994, Aeroflot Flight 593 was en route from Moscow to Hong Kong when it crashed in Siberia, killing all 75 passengers and crew on board.

Aeroflot Flight 593 had its autopilot system activated. According to the black box recording, co-pilot Yaroslav Vladimirovich Kudrinsky let his two children, Yana (12 years old) and Eldar (16 years old), into the cockpit about an hour before the tragedy occurred. Photo: tailstrike.
