After nearly 2 years of graduating, Ha Ngoc Luc's (born in 2001, Phu Tho ) current salary is an average of 15 million VND/month.

In February 2022, Luc graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer and Mobile Device Programming fromFPT Polytechnic College. Although he only had a college degree, Luc was still confident in applying to a large computer software programming company.

"The first time I went for an interview, I was quite surprised when the company offered a starting salary of 10 million VND/month because before that, I just thought that I had just graduated and was applying for the job to gain more experience and expected a salary of only 3-4 million VND, enough to cover my living expenses," the male student said.

After being recruited into the company, Luc was responsible for writing applications for users. Depending on each person's needs, he would write different applications. For example, applications such as e-wallet apps, document management, and e-commerce.

Along with his work, Luc constantly tries to read more books related to advanced programming and learn from his seniors. He also invests money to attend specialized programming courses to improve his working capacity.

The male student from Phu Tho assessed that the work related to programming and software development is quite stressful, however, the salary has gradually increased significantly after nearly 2 years of dedication. Currently, Luc's total monthly income averages 15 million VND.

Ha Ngoc Luc advises students when choosing a major to persevere, invest and develop good skills for themselves, participate in study groups, improve knowledge, and be diligent and hard-working.

Like Luc, Nguyen Ngoc Son's salary after graduation is from 8 to 10 million VND/month (including bonuses and revenue). He graduated with a major in Digital Marketing and is working at a company specializing in retailing high-end household goods in Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi .

In addition to working at the company, Son also researched and invested in selling clothes online on e-commerce platforms. This also brought him from 1 to 2 million/month depending on the number of purchases. Thus, on average, he earned for himself from 10 to 12 million/month.

After half a year of working, Son realized that the knowledge he learned at school was quite different from the actual work. To adapt, he always tried to learn, regularly communicated and shared with experienced colleagues in the company.

The lesson learned by Son is that if you want to have a stable salary right after graduation, you need to find jobs related to your major to gain experience early. Students should avoid studying in a hollow way, without a clear goal, and when they start working without basic knowledge, it will take a long time to start over.

Not only graduates, many students today, although still in school, have very high monthly income.

Nguyen Duy Hung (22 years old) is a third-year student at the University of Theatre and Cinema, majoring in Film Cinematography, with an average monthly income of about 30 million VND. His main income comes from filming, taking photos of events, and advertising campaigns.

During his time at school, Hung did not hesitate to learn from teachers and friends to accumulate experience and work skills.

"Remembering the first time when I first entered school, I often followed my seniors to film and take photos of events... Then, in my second and third years of university, my filming and photography skills gradually improved, so my seniors in the profession introduced me to participate in projects about filming corporate reports, newspapers, weddings, and moreover, I was able to film commercials, music videos, and movies for famous people..." , Hung shared. Thanks to his hard work, he has a fairly high income compared to many of his peers.

The student also revealed that each production project can earn an average of 1 to 10 million VND, depending on the scale.

Earning a lot of money, but Hung also clearly understands that he is a student so he has to spend a lot of time studying, only working on days off or in the evening.

The male student advised students who want to have a high income to accumulate a lot of experience through the process of researching on the internet and learning from highly qualified teachers to ensure the knowledge they learn is correct.

Ms. Luong Thanh Nga, Human Resources Management Department, Technology and Communication Solutions Company in Cau Giay, Hanoi said that currently, many universities and colleges have good training quality, students both study and practice, so many students can easily get good jobs with high salaries right after graduation.

In fact, at the company Ms. Nga works for, many young people are students who have just graduated, have good skills and can meet the job requirements. Therefore, the salary of young people when they have just graduated ranges from 10 to 15 million, which is not too surprising.

Ms. Nga added that majors in communications, computer science, marketing, programming... are potential majors. If students have good skills, their salaries will be high after graduation.

Not all graduates have a good income, it depends on each profession and working area. For example, many graduates today still cannot find a job or have to do jobs outside their field such as motorbike taxi, real estate, sales... the deciding factor is choosing the right profession and working hard, dedicating yourself, and having the will to improve.
