According to Reuters, Hezbollah's attack came after Israel announced that it had killed Mr. Nasrallah in an airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 27. However, Hezbollah has not yet confirmed information about Nasrallah's condition.

The Israeli military is currently on high alert, wary of the possibility of a wider conflict. Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, an Israeli military spokesman, expressed hope that Nasrallah's death would prompt Hezbollah to change its policies, while acknowledging that Israel still had much to do to weaken the group's capabilities.

Meanwhile, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz warned that if Nasrallah's death was confirmed, the geopolitical situation would escalate further. "This is exactly what Israel is trying to achieve," he stressed.

In a related development, Lebanon has refused to allow an Iranian plane into its airspace after Israel warned it would use force if the plane landed. The Lebanese Ministry of Transport said the decision was to ensure the safety of its people.

On the same day, Houthi forces in Yemen announced that the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike would strengthen their resolve to fight their "Israeli enemy".

In a statement on September 28, the Houthi leadership council stated: "The sacrifice of Hassan Nasrallah will fan the flames of enthusiasm and determination," and pledged to win against Israel.

On the same day, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan condemned Israel's recent attacks on Lebanon, calling it a policy of "genocide and aggression". He called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to intervene to stop Israel.

On social network X, President Erdogan expressed support for the people and government of Lebanon and sent condolences to those killed in the airstrikes. He also called on the Muslim world to take a tougher stance on the situation.
