To have 3 intra-village and inter-village roads with a length of 4.1 km, the road surface was widened from 4 m to 7 m and more than 5 km of road was widened from 3 m to 5 m, running through residential areas of Chinh Tien village, Gia Phu commune, the local people unanimously donated thousands of meters of land to build the road.

Taking us on a tour of the newly expanded roads in the village center, Mr. Do Van Dinh, Head of Chinh Tien village, could not help but happily tell us: In order for the people to agree to donate land for road construction, the Party Cell Secretary and the Village Chief set an example by donating land to expand the road first. The village chose easy points to work on first, then difficult points, thanks to which they received the consensus of the whole village to build roads extending from the border of Son Hai commune to near the commune center.

With convenient transportation, local people have more opportunities to develop their family economy and improve the quality of all aspects of life.

Mr. Tran Quang Khai, a resident of Chinh Tien village, confided: Since the implementation of the new rural construction, the appearance of the village has completely changed, people have wide roads for trade and expanding production. From a poor village of the commune, Chinh Tien has now risen to become a model village recognized by all levels.

Chinh Tien village, one of the typical localities of Bao Thang district, has had many positive changes from the rural road expansion program. This success is thanks to the consensus among the people. With the motto "State and People work together", Bao Thang has mobilized the strength of the community to effectively implement rural road expansion projects.

Mr. Le Cong Nguyen, Vice Chairman of Gia Phu Commune People's Committee, said that the opening and upgrading of rural roads in the commune have initially brought about effective results, most clearly in economic development, people's lives are increasingly improved, gradually contributing to the locality's construction of new and improved rural areas.

Chinh Tien people are happy to have beautiful wide roads.

Since 2021, people in Bao Thang district have donated hundreds of thousands of square meters of land, contributed more than 4,000 working days and tens of billions of VND to renovate, expand and concretize more than 200 km of inter-village and inter-commune roads, creating a synchronous infrastructure system, conveniently connecting regions, contributing to socio-economic development.

Many rural roads in communes of Bao Thang district have been widened to 7m.

Mr. Dinh Cong Thang, Deputy Head of the Economic Infrastructure and Urban Department of Bao Thang district, said that the expansion and development of traffic routes is facilitating Bao Thang people to trade goods with other regions, bringing great economic benefits and affirming its central position connecting trade with neighboring districts.

According to statistics, by the end of 2024, the average income per capita of Bao Thang district will reach 80.8 million VND/year; the production value per unit of cultivated area will reach 116 million VND/ha. These are impressive figures that clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of investment in expanding transport infrastructure, serving the socio-economic development of the district.
