Hon Gai Coal Sorting Company - Vinacomin is honored to be one of 17 collectives awarded a certificate of merit by the General Director of the Group "For outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in the first 9 months of 2024, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Coal Corporation, now Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group on October 10 (1994 - 2024)".
The emulation movement to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Coal Corporation, now the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group, was launched and implemented by the Company from the end of 2023. Responding to the Company's initiative, the units have developed plans and organized many vibrant emulation activities, promoting the Group's 30-year tradition of construction and development, the tradition of "Discipline and Unity" of miners, the important results and contributions of the Group over the past 30 years in ensuring national energy security, and the determination and efforts of the Hon Gai Coal Sorting Plant's workforce over many periods that have contributed to the development of the Company in particular and the Group in general. The organized movements created a vibrant emulation effect, attracting a large number of cadres, Party members, Youth Union members, association members, and workers to participate, contributing to the fulfillment of the Company's political and production-business tasks, and contributing to the development of TKV. 
Hon Gai Coal Mining Company was honored to receive a commendation from the Group at the 30th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Vietnam Coal Corporation, now Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group, on October 10th (1994 - 2024). In the emulation movement to improve production and business efficiency, at the production units, the heads of the units continued to implement and promote the " Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" and "Practice Thrift, Combat Waste" movements, closely adhering to the Group's and the Company's coal production and consumption management plan, coordinating closely and regularly with production, processing, and warehousing units within the Group to organize and arrange production rationally, balance work, improve labor productivity, maximize direct coal consumption, save on energy and raw material costs, and increase the coal recovery rate at the Hon Gai regional processing center and centralized coal storage facility, etc. 
Commending outstanding individuals in the emulation movement. Also stemming from the work in production, in the first nine months of 2024, over 40 initiatives and technical improvements by employees in the Company were recognized and applied to production, contributing to increased labor productivity, cost savings for the Company, and ensuring the safety of workers. Emulation in ensuring occupational safety and health, environmental sanitation, and security: In the first nine months of 2024, occupational safety and health work received special attention from the Company's leadership, specialized departments, and production units. Regular inspections, awareness campaigns, and the implementation of many specific measures were carried out to maintain the set safety goals. The units have closely followed the Company's directives to promptly identify risk factors and propose solutions to eliminate them, ensuring occupational safety and health, preventing type 1 and type 2 labor accidents and equipment failures. The goal of ensuring a "Bright - Green - Clean" environment and fire prevention and control has been disseminated and thoroughly understood by every cadre, Party member, and worker, thereby enhancing the spirit and sense of responsibility of the workforce in maintaining a clean, friendly environment and ensuring fire safety. The Company also regularly focuses on and directs efforts to ensure security and order within the Company's production area and surrounding region. In addition to improving the quality and effectiveness of self-management, the Company regularly coordinates with management agencies and local authorities to organize patrols and inspections to promptly detect and handle incidents according to regulations. The company has signed coordination regulations with local authorities, functional forces, and units in the region to ensure safety and security throughout the coal transportation and consumption process. Paying attention to social welfare and caring for the lives of employees, the company considers this a regular task and a goal of its emulation movements. During holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), when employees' families experience illness, bereavement, or celebrations, the company organizes activities to care for, visit, and give gifts to ensure the well-being of its employees. Especially after Super Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ), along with quickly organizing the remediation of the consequences and stabilizing production, the Company's Party Committee directed the Trade Union and professional departments to promptly review and gather information on the damage suffered by 31 families of employees in affiliated units, visiting them to offer support and encouragement, and reporting to the TKV Trade Union for timely assistance. 
The company's leadership visited and provided support to the families of workers affected by Typhoon No. 3. In addition, the company consistently prioritizes and directs the implementation of health check-ups and care for its employees. In the first nine months of 2024, the company organized periodic health check-ups for 1,235 employees; and conducted occupational disease screenings and periodic occupational disease examinations for 728 employees working in strenuous, hazardous, and dangerous occupations. After the examinations, employees received advice on health care and recovery solutions to meet work requirements and improve their quality of life and family happiness. Promoting cultural, artistic, and sports activities: In the first nine months of the year, the company successfully organized many sports competitions, attracting a large number of sports-loving employees to participate, such as: Traditional swimming competition, badminton and table tennis tournaments, men's football tournament, etc. In addition, the company also selected employees with outstanding sports achievements, organized training, and sent them to participate in ethnic sports competitions (tug-of-war, stick pushing), badminton, table tennis, and chess/Chinese chess tournaments organized by the Group, all achieving good results. 
The company organizes cultural and sports activities to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere and enhance the cultural and spiritual life of its employees. These emulation movements not only provide additional motivation and encourage employees to enthusiastically participate in safe and creative production, fostering a tradition of solidarity and mutual support, but also help the company and its units identify exemplary individuals and outstanding workers to serve as role models and replicate best practices. Simultaneously, they help in planning training and development to create a high-quality workforce for the company's sustainable development in the coming years. Entering the fourth quarter of 2024, with the goal of " Double the difficulties - Triple the effort," the collective workforce of Hon Gai Coal Mine is striving and determined to uphold the spirit of solidarity and the traditional "Discipline and Unity" of miners, overcome difficulties, boost production, and complete the production and business plan for the fourth quarter and the entire year of 2024.
