However, coach Polking said he will let the pillars of the Hanoi Police Club rest properly in the upcoming matches, to ensure their strength to contribute to the Vietnam team.
"We still have the goal of entering the top 3 of the V-League and competing for the National Cup. However, I absolutely want to create conditions for the players to join the Vietnam national team before the very difficult match against Malaysia," Coach Polking affirmed.
In the upcoming training session, Hanoi Police will contribute 4 players to the Vietnam team including Nguyen Filip, Viet Anh, Quang Vinh and Quang Hai. Coach Polking said he will give opportunities to young players and rotate the force when creating conditions for key players to join the team.
Evaluating the loss to Hanoi FC on the evening of May 26 in round 24 of LPBank V-League 2024-25, Coach Polking said: "Hanoi Police Club was tired after the 120-minute match in the second leg of the Southeast Asian Club Cup final against Buriram. Not only the physical strength but also the spirit of the players went down. It was a match in which we were very disappointed with the result.
Hanoi FC played with determination and strength, winning in contested situations. After receiving a red card, they switched to a very good defensive counter-attack and scored a goal. Congratulations to Hanoi FC."
Meanwhile, despite playing with one less player, Hanoi FC still defeated Hanoi Police Club 2-0. With this result, Hanoi FC is 5 points behind Nam Dinh , still having a chance to win the championship when the tournament has 2 more rounds to end.

"If we lose this match, the championship race is over. The match is very important and we won. Our role is to keep the championship race. This victory gives Hanoi FC a chance.
After Xuan Manh received a red card, we did our best to control the match. When we were short-handed, we did well on defense, had counter-attack opportunities and scored goals. With Xuan Manh absent, other players filled the void," said Hanoi FC coach Makoto Teguramori.
On May 28, the Southeast Asian All-Stars team had a friendly match with Man Utd in Malaysia. Coach Makoto Teguramori told his two students, Duy Manh and Hai Long: "This is an opportunity for them to approach world football, hopefully they will learn a lot to help Vietnamese football."
