Support to promote the application of science and technology, innovation in industrial production

BAC NINH - On the morning of November 1, the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh province coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industry Enterprises (VASI), the Provincial Industrial Production Association (BACLINK) to organize a workshop on "Synergy between the State - Enterprises - Associations to build an industrial development strategy associated with the application of high technology and science". Attending the workshop were comrade Pham Van Thinh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of units: Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Industry and Trade, Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Finance, Vietnam Association of Supporting Industry Enterprises, Provincial Industrial Production Association; Vietnam Electronics Association (VEIA), industrial and digital transformation experts; representatives of FDI enterprises and supporting industry enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, informed that the workshop aimed to specify the contents in the implementation of Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo and the Government's Action Program on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution No. 68 dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo on private economic development and Plan No. 11 dated July 28, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee implementing Resolution No. 68 dated May 4, 2025 of the Politburo.

In his opening speech for the workshop, comrade Pham Van Thinh affirmed that industrial development associated with the application of science and high technology is an inevitable trend not only of Bac Ninh province, but also of the global industry. Therefore, Bac Ninh always attaches importance to and promotes the application of science and technology, innovation in industrial production activities.

After the merger, Bac Ninh province has full potential to develop supporting industries. Therefore, the province always focuses on supporting enterprises in applying science, technology and high technology so that enterprises have more resources, access and successfully participate in the field of supporting industries.

He hoped that through this workshop, Bac Ninh province would listen to the contributions as well as recommendations and proposals from businesses and related associations, thereby making timely and necessary support commitments, helping businesses in the province continue to innovate, meet the needs of connection and participation in the global supply chain.

The workshop received many contributions from experts, business representatives and associations. The presentations clarified and evaluated the current status of production capacity, technology, human resources and the ability to participate in the supply chain of supporting industry enterprises in Bac Ninh province.

At the same time, identify opportunities and challenges for supporting businesses in the context of digital transformation, green transformation and global economic integration; share experiences and successful models of technological innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development in supporting industries.

Many opinions proposed specific support policies on finance, land, research and development, human resource training, trade promotion and connecting FDI enterprises with domestic enterprises; establishing a tripartite coordination mechanism between the State - Enterprises - Associations, forming a regular dialogue and cooperation channel to promote sustainable development of supporting industries.

In response to the proposals of delegates attending the workshop related to loan sources; industrial space rental prices; development of production factories from low-rise to high-rise buildings; mechanisms to attract high-tech human resources; worker housing issues, etc., comrade Pham Van Thinh shared that Bac Ninh province has been implementing many policies to support domestic and foreign enterprises.

The province's policy is to provide maximum and equal support to businesses investing in the area (including FDI and domestic businesses). However, the province prioritizes maximum support for businesses applying modern science and innovation. Policies and regulations related to industrial development, if changed, will only have beneficial implications for businesses to help businesses develop sustainably.

At the end of the workshop, comrade Pham Van Thinh emphasized that exchanging with businesses and experts on the field of industry, digital transformation, the situation of applying science and technology; listening to the opinions of businessmen, the business community, and experts at the workshop is a very meaningful work. Thereby, helping the province to form appropriate and specific incentive mechanisms, policies and solutions to apply science and technology, digital transformation in production, industrial development, supporting industry, creating a driving force for private economic development into a driving force for socio-economic development.

He suggested that the Department of Industry and Trade and the Provincial Business Association should organize many similar seminars to invite speakers and leading experts in the field of innovation in information communication, management experience, and application of high technology in production.

Enterprises also need to have the will and aspiration to rise up and commit more to innovation, creativity, and application of high technology in production, business, and corporate governance.

Enterprises need to unite, support, cooperate with each other to grow together, avoid unhealthy competition. Accept risks and challenges in the production and business process, from there, shape their own direction for sustainable development.

Building a cultural enterprise, healthy production and business, serving the people and at the same time serving partners, creating conditions for partners to develop together, bringing sustainable profits.

Enterprises need to make the most of factory roof space to develop rooftop solar power, creating more green electricity for production, creating new competitive momentum.

Within the framework of the workshop, delegates witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and development support between the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh and the Industrial Production Association of Bac Ninh province. At the same time, they visited the factory of Automech Mechanical Equipment and Solutions Joint Stock Company, Dinh Tram Industrial Park, Nenh Ward.
