Implementing the plan of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province on searching, handling, destroying, detonating, and thoroughly overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines, and explosives left over from the war, ensuring absolute safety for people, vehicles, and constructions in the downstream area of the Da River, from May 7-27, the task force of the Provincial Military Command searched, discovered, and salvaged a total of 244 explosives, mines, and explosives left over from the war in the Da River area.

The explosives discovered, salvaged and detonated included 1 bomb; 20 pineapple bombs, 6 105mm artillery shells, 1 82mm mortar shell, 2 60mm mortar shells, 40 grenades and 174 bullets of various types.
In particular, all of these bombs, ammunition and explosives have activated their detonation mechanisms and are in an unsafe state, and could explode at any time.
After being transported to the detonation area located far from residential areas and without people or vehicles, the task force used high explosives to conduct the detonation to ensure absolute safety.
Up to now, the task force has searched and cleared bombs, mines and explosives in an area of about 220,000 m2 downstream of the Da River from the downstream area of the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, reaching more than 70% of the area that needs to be searched.
For the rest, the task force of the Provincial Military Command will continue to deploy specialized vehicles to conduct searches in the coming time, ensuring the completion of the plan, expected to be completed before June 6, 2025.
