Accordingly, Meiko Corporation of Japan is implementing a plan to build a factory to produce electronic microchips in the Left Bank Industrial Park of Da River, leasing land and infrastructure from Da Hop Trading Joint Stock Company with a total area of 9.2 hectares, with an investment capital equivalent to 200 million USD.
In Vietnam, Meiko Group has invested in building 3 factories to produce electronic circuit boards and assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) with a total investment of 500 million USD, creating jobs for more than 7,000 workers and contributing about 30 million USD/year to the State budget.
Representatives of Meiko Group of Japan proposed and recommended that Hoa Binh province support the group with investment procedures, planning adjustments, and project investment scale adjustments; support stable power supply, ensure production process; demand for clean water and wastewater discharge to start construction of the factory in March 2024.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phi Long pledged to accompany Meiko Group, providing maximum support for administrative procedures, wastewater and electricity; along with investment in traffic infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for the Group and domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the province.
The Secretary of the Hoa Binh Provincial Party Committee directed relevant departments and agencies to focus on providing the best support to investors in completing related procedures to start the project as planned.
In particular, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hoa Binh province takes the lead, coordinating with departments and branches to solve planning issues, ensure stable power sources, clean water sources, waste discharge, and promptly remove obstacles and difficulties in the implementation process, striving to complete related procedures by March 2024 to start the project.
