On May 2, information from Vinh General Hospital ( Nghe An ) said that a family had just welcomed two special citizens on a special day at the hospital: The twins were born on the morning of April 30 - on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

According to information from the hospital, the mother NTT (34 years old, residing in Do Luong district) gave birth to two baby boys at 8:38 am on April 30, amid overwhelming emotions from her family and the medical team. The two babies were born healthy, weighing 2.8 kg and 2.5 kg respectively.

Immediately after the two babies cried for the first time, doctors recorded that sacred moment next to the red flag with yellow star. One of the two babies even reached out as if to grasp the national flag, creating a deeply emotional image that was widely shared on social networks.

Ms. T., the mother of the two children, shared: “Giving birth on a historic day, we decided to name the two children Nguyen Thong Nhat and Nguyen Hoa Binh. These are names that carry the deep aspirations of the nation – national unity and lasting peace.”

Not just a birth event, the birth of these twins was considered by the online community as “a gift from the country on a great festival day”. Hundreds of comments expressed their emotions, sent blessings to the family, praised the meaning of the two babies’ names and believed that the new generation would continue the tradition of patriotism, humanity and solidarity.

Looking at children born in peacetime, embraced from the first moment of life in the sacred colors of the flag, people are more aware of the value of peace today - something that was exchanged for so much blood, tears of our ancestors in the past.

In the moment the newborn's cry resounded amidst the song "As if Uncle Ho were here on the day of great victory", people not only saw a happy family, but also saw the image of a country growing from faith, from love and from today's babies.

It can be said that Thong Nhat - Hoa Binh is not just a name, but a living symbol of Vietnam's eternal aspiration.
