Born and raised in a poor family, Nguyen Chi had to face many difficulties since she was little. Perhaps fate seemed to want to tease Nguyen Chi when she was just entering secondary school, Nguyen Chi's parents broke up and she had to go through many harsh challenges. Since then, Nguyen Chi has lived with her grandmother, father and younger sister.

" At first, my mother sent money back to help my father raise my two sisters to study, but when I was in 7th grade, I don't know what happened to my mother, and from then until now, my family has completely lost contact with her. Currently, my younger sister is in 4th grade. My family doesn't have any fields or gardens, all the family's income depends on my grandmother's small pension and my father's daily wages from carrying water, ice, and gas.

Just last year, my father fell off his bike so his work became much more difficult and my grandmother is over 80 years old this year so their health is gradually getting worse. I love my father and grandmother very much but I am still young so no one will hire me to work. So, I can only help my father and grandmother by doing housework, taking care of and teaching my younger sister and I myself try to study well so that I can have a stable job in the future to have money to buy medicine to treat my grandmother, my father and support my younger sister's education", Nguyen Chi shared with tears in her eyes.

Although her family situation was quite difficult, she always had to face many challenges and worries along with the great sadness that was always present in her heart when she did not have a complete family, Nguyen Chi never got discouraged or had the intention of surrendering to fate. That situation was also the biggest motivation for Nguyen Chi to constantly strive in both life and study.

During her 3 years of studying at high school, Nguyen Chi always achieved the title of an advanced student and a good student of her class and school. The saying that Nguyen Chi likes the most and is also her life motto is: "If you can't find the sun, shine on your own. " With that motto, Nguyen Chi has trained herself to become a strong girl, never allowing herself to be weak and afraid of difficulties and challenges. No matter what, whether in life or study, Nguyen Chi always tries her best so that when she receives the results, no matter what, she will not be disappointed in herself.

Financial problems became the biggest obstacle on Nguyen Chi's way to university: "When I received the acceptance letter, I was very happy, but thinking about the cost of university, I intended to put my dream aside to go to work to earn money. My grandmother and father did not agree. My father said: "No matter how hard it is, I will try to let you finish university." My father had to borrow money everywhere in the hope of being able to collect enough money for me to go to school.

A great joy came to me and my family when on the day of admission, the Board of Directors of Duy Tan University knew about my family's situation and awarded me a Full Scholarship. That was a very valuable gift and a great motivation to help me study with peace of mind without having to worry about tuition fees. From now on, my father's 'shoulders' have been relieved of a very large burden .

During her high school years, Nguyen Chi carefully researched the profession and universities that offered the major she loved. As a mature girl and very perceptive in grasping problems, Nguyen Chi soon realized the importance of Software Technology to life.

Nguyen Chi said: " With the constant development of Information Technology, the Software field is becoming one of the industries with high demand for human resources and has strong potential for development in the future. Being admitted to the Software Technology major at Duy Tan University, I can both study my favorite major and achieve my personal goals of helping my family reduce difficulties, showing filial piety to my grandmother and father, and raising my younger sister to become successful .

I have thoroughly researched Duy Tan University and am very impressed with the motto 'All for the benefit of students' learning and employment'. Moreover, Information Technology is a key and extremely prestigious major of the school. Students who graduate from this major all have jobs with very high salaries .

Not only diligently studying, Nguyen Chi also loves reading culture and playing badminton in her spare time. Because according to her, reading books not only trains patience but also broadens knowledge in many fields, while playing badminton will help improve her health. Those things will help Nguyen Chi have enough strength to "fight" and overcome all difficulties, challenges and make her dreams come true.
