On the morning of October 25, Saigon International University organized a job fair with the participation of 500 students from many high schools in Ho Chi Minh City - a difference compared to other job fairs usually only for students.
A student from Hoa Lu High School shared that he attended the job fair because he plans to study software engineering or other computer-related fields in the future. There are interviews at the fair, so he wanted to see what the companies were interviewing about.
Additionally, talking to people from software companies also helps students better understand the work and requirements of a software engineer.
Mr. Cao Quang Tu - Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department of Saigon International University - said that the admissions counseling process in previous years recorded that students asked many specific questions about professions, especially about careers and job opportunities.
The job fair has businesses in many different fields and industries. The school actively coordinates with high schools to create conditions for students to experience, access recruitment trends early, explore the labor market, listen to sharing from businesses and observe the simulated recruitment process in reality.
From this participation, high school students have a realistic view of the university journey, the experiences they will have from the business environment. On this basis, they will orient themselves to choose the right and practical major and school, avoiding mistakes and emotions when making decisions.
