Students in the capital send love to students in flood-affected areas

In recent days, when storms No. 10, 11, and 12 continuously caused heavy damage to the people of the Northern and Central provinces, the spirit of "mutual love" was once again strongly ignited. From primary schools, kindergartens to universities, thousands of teachers, students and university students in the capital joined hands, sending loving gifts and warm words of encouragement to children and families in the flooded areas.

Responding to the call from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the staff, teachers, employees and parents of Yen So Kindergarten (Yen So Ward, Hanoi) launched a widespread donation campaign. In just a few days, hundreds of gifts including warm blankets, new clothes, school supplies, teaching equipment, etc. were sent to Chua Hang Kindergarten (Thai Nguyen Province) and Quyet Thang Kindergarten (Lang Son Province) - places heavily affected by storms.

The loving gifts are not only valuable in material terms but also contain the sharing, solidarity, and mutual love of the school's staff, teachers, employees, and parents. Teacher Nguyen Thuy Hanh, Principal of Yen So Kindergarten, shared: "We believe that with the care and sharing from all over, teachers and students of Quyet Thang Kindergarten will soon overcome difficulties and continue to bring to the children in the highlands a learning environment full of joy, safety, and warmth of humanity."

Receiving gifts from teachers and students in the lowlands, Mr. Long Van Lam, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Yen Binh commune, Lang Son province shared: We are deeply moved by the sharing, care and good deeds that teachers, parents and students have given to Quyet Thang Kindergarten. The meaningful gifts are not only material support, but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping teachers and students of the school to be more confident, overcome difficulties to continue caring for and educating children in this mountainous area with many deprivations.

Recently, sharing the spirit of volunteering to support flood-affected areas, many schools in Hanoi have simultaneously organized meaningful activities. At Ngo Thi Nham Primary School (Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi), students of the school together donated and supported necessities for people affected by storms and floods; supported school supplies for children in affected areas. Students of Ngoc Hoi Primary School (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) turned to students in flood-affected areas with the message "Every notebook given, thousands of loves remain". Students of Yen So Primary School (Yen So, Hanoi) also donated thousands of notebooks, thousands of books...

In kindergartens, teachers and parents teach children to draw and fold paper cranes to give to children in flood-affected areas. These are simple lessons imbued with the spirit of humanity.

Many universities such as the National Economics University, Banking Academy, Water Resources University, etc. have also launched fundraising campaigns to support people affected by storms and floods; and have been monitoring the situation of students and alumni whose families have been affected by storms and floods to provide timely support. Student clubs and volunteer teams have also gone directly to affected areas to help overcome the consequences, giving warm clothes, books and school supplies to children.

Schools, clubs at all levels, and departments under the Department will continue to propagate, deploy and spread the movement to join hands to support and provide practical and effective assistance to localities and schools damaged by storms and floods.
