On November 17, the Border Guard Academy informed about the admission combinations in 2026. The Academy said that according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the subject combination used for admission includes at least 3 subjects suitable to the characteristics and requirements of the training program, including Math or Literature with a weighted score of not less than 25%. From 2026, the common subjects of the combinations must contribute at least 50% of the weighted score.

To comply with this regulation, in 2026, the Border Guard Academy proposed a plan to use combinations of Literature and Math - subjects that 100% of candidates take the graduation exam - as the base and change the third subject.

The school will use 3 groups including C03 (Literature, Math, History), C04 (Literature, Math, Geography), D01 (Literature, Math, English) for both Border Defense and Law majors.

"This is the optimal solution and is agreed upon by experts," the Academy stated.

In 2025, the Border Guard Academy will use 5 combinations for admission including A01, C00, C01, C03, D01. So next year, the Academy will stop considering combinations A01, C00, C01.

Also last year, the Academy recruited students through three methods: Direct recruitment; Recruitment based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University; Recruitment based on high school graduation exam scores.

The Border Guard Academy said it had sent a document requesting Vinh University to accept Lang Duc Bang, a male student who scored 29 points to enter the army but was later rejected for health reasons, in order to avoid disadvantages for the candidate.
