Yen Do is the location of the first Supply Cadre Training Course of the Vietnam People's Army, the predecessor of today's Logistics Academy. This is a practical and meaningful activity on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Logistics Academy's Traditional Day (June 15, 1951 / June 15, 2023).

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its traditional day, the Logistics Academy started construction of a memorial stele for the first supply cadre training class in Khuon Long village, Yen Do commune, Phu Luong district. The project was inaugurated on December 15, 2000. On June 15, 2021, on the occasion of the Logistics Academy's 70th anniversary of its traditional day, the location of the first supply cadre training class and the stationing of the Supply Cadre School in Yen Do commune, Phu Luong district, was ranked as a National Monument by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the National Monument Site where the first training course for supply officers was held, the predecessor of the Logistics Academy, exchanging with officers, lecturers of the Academy and leaders of Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province, Major General Phan Tung Son shared: After 72 years of building, fighting, developing and growing up, from the simple thatched-roof classrooms in the mountains and forests of Khuon Long and Yen Do, accompanying the two long-term resistance wars of the nation and the cause of building the country, under the leadership of the Party, the care of the people, generations of officers, lecturers, students, staff and soldiers of the Logistics Academy have overcome countless difficulties and hardships, writing a glorious tradition of "absolute loyalty, proactive creativity, close solidarity, good teaching and good learning, attached to the battlefield, towards the unit".

The Director of the Academy also affirmed that this is a meaningful activity, helping the officers, lecturers, students, staff and soldiers of the Academy to understand more about the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the Heroic Logistics Academy; thereby, arousing pride, raising awareness of preserving and promoting the tradition of the Academy in the cause of education , training, building a strong and comprehensive unit "exemplary, typical".

On this occasion, the leaders of the Logistics Academy presented gifts to the "For the Poor" Fund; the "Repaying Gratitude" Fund of Yen Do commune with a total amount of 20 million VND; presented 10 gifts to families with preferential policies and people with revolutionary contributions; 10 gifts to families with difficult circumstances in the area (each gift worth 1 million VND) and 3 Samsung 43-inch TVs to Yen Do Commune Kindergarten. These are meaningful and practical actions demonstrating the care of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the Logistics Academy for the people in Yen Do commune, Phu Luong district, the predecessor of the Logistics Academy.
