According to The Post Office UK, Hoi An is one of the most charming cities in Vietnam. There is no hustle and bustle like in big cities. Visitors can spend the morning on the pristine beaches, the afternoon visiting historical sites and finding the best food at Hoi An night market.
On top of that, Hoi An is also one of the best places in the world to have hotels that offer the best quality of sleep, according to the Skyscanner UK Travel Trends Report 2024.
Following Hoi An on this year’s list is Cape Town, last year’s winner. Consumer costs in the South African capital have risen significantly in recent times. They are followed by Mombasa in Kenya, Tokyo in Japan and the Algarve in Portugal.
The Post Office UK rankings are based on a review of factors likely to influence travellers' decision-making for their 2024 holiday, from exchange rates to the cost of eating out and visiting each destination's popular attractions.
From there, the magazine will come up with a list of the world's best value travel destinations, where tourists get more value for their money thanks to low and affordable costs.
