Affirming Vietnamese identity on the billion-dollar trading floor

According to experts, the 2025 Autumn Fair has far exceeded initial expectations, not only in scale and revenue, but also in connection value and sustainable development significance. The event contributed to strengthening trust in Vietnamese goods, creating a strong driving force for the development of the local market. The scale of this year's Fair is recorded as the largest ever in Vietnam and attracted an average of 100,000 visitors per day, a record number in domestic trade promotion activities.

From agarwood, ceramics, bamboo and rattan, to regional agricultural products - each booth at the Fair is a story of innovation, creativity and trust. It is this enduring vitality that is contributing to building a strong domestic economy , where Vietnamese values are affirmed by quality and pride.

The Autumn Fair is not only an exhibition but also a real trading floor.

Total direct revenue reached nearly 1,000 billion VND, and the total value of transactions, contracts and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) reached nearly 5,000 billion VND. The local pavilion alone achieved direct revenue of 50 billion VND and nearly 500 billion VND in transaction value. These figures show that the Autumn Fair is not only for display but also becomes a real trading floor when many businesses signed distribution and export contracts.

For traditional craft villages, this is also a golden opportunity to affirm the enduring vitality of Vietnamese handicraft culture. In particular, representing the traditional ceramic industry, Mr. Vu Dinh Manh, Chairman of Inogroup Corporation (owner of the Bat Trang Ceramic Space brand) shared, each fair season, we see that Vietnamese consumers are increasingly interested in Vietnamese products, especially traditional products. What is special is that the modern young consumer generation not only seeks traditional beauty but also requires high applicability and sophisticated design in each product.

"At the Fair, we introduce handcrafted ceramic collections combining modern techniques, from An Tho Tuc tea sets to interior decoration items imbued with Vietnamese spirit. The warm reception from both individual customers and retail partners at home and abroad shows that traditional Vietnamese handicrafts can absolutely become a staple on modern trading floors if properly invested in brainpower and technology," Mr. Manh affirmed.

Similarly, rattan and bamboo products, fine art ceramics, and natural essential oils also recorded strong consumption. Many small production facilities have for the first time accessed supermarket distribution systems or e-commerce platforms thanks to the connection activities implemented by the Organizing Committee at the Fair. Ms. Truong Thi Phuong, a visitor from Ninh Binh shared: "I see that Vietnamese products are now very sophisticated, from packaging to quality. Many handicraft products and regional specialties are not inferior to imported products, but the prices are more reasonable. I bought 2 sets of ceramic cups and some rattan and bamboo bags to decorate my house, the products are very beautiful and unique".

Bringing handmade products to a modern trading "floor" helps craftsmen see the importance of standardizing quality...

This success comes from the fact that craft villages have been more proactive in innovating designs and improving product quality to meet modern tastes. "The Autumn Fair is a clear demonstration that economic development must go hand in hand with cultural development. Bringing handicraft products to a modern trading "floor" helps craftsmen see the importance of quality standardization, professional packaging, and applying technology in marketing. This is the driving force to preserve traditional crafts in a sustainable way, linked to the market economy," said Mr. Manh.

Repositioning Vietnamese products and creating a foundation for sustainable development

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the 2025 Autumn Fair marks an important turning point in domestic trade promotion activities. From the traditional exhibition and introduction model, the event has developed into a comprehensive promotion model, linking trade, investment, innovation and digital transformation.

A representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade commented: "The most notable point of the 2025 Autumn Fair is the practicality in trade. Local traditional products are not only promoted, but also repositioned in a professional, consumer-friendly direction, aiming at the international market. This is an important driving force to promote domestic consumption and improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises."

The fair also affirms the central role of Vietnamese consumers in market development.

In particular, the Prime Minister, in his closing speech at the Fair, affirmed: "The success of the first Autumn Fair - 2025 is an affirmation that the Vietnamese market is not only attractive in terms of scale and development speed but also a safe, friendly, promising and attractive destination for domestic and international investors. The Fair is a symbol of the spirit of solidarity and common development aspirations of the entire Vietnamese people". The Prime Minister also emphasized that ministries, branches and localities need to promote the opportunities, commitments and agreements formed at the Fair, transforming trade results into specific, practical and effective projects and products.

Speaking to reporters, a representative of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) emphasized: "The most important thing is that Vietnamese goods must reach Vietnamese consumers and be given priority. The Department is focusing on four key areas to develop the domestic market, including strengthening market surveillance and trade promotion, while developing modern trade infrastructure, focusing on digital transformation."

The fair also affirmed the central role of Vietnamese consumers in market development. According to a quick survey by the Organizing Committee, most visitors highly appreciated the quality and design of domestic products and said they would continue to buy products after the fair through online channels. This is a positive signal, showing that consumers have a more positive view and trust in the quality of domestically produced goods.

Craft village stalls turn the 2025 Autumn Fair into a rich economic and cultural festival.

Economist - market expert Tran Manh Hung analyzed: "The success of the 2025 Autumn Fair is not just a story of selling products, but a story of repositioning the national brand through the capacity of Vietnamese enterprises. When local goods are placed next to big brands, have the opportunity to interact with international partners, they are forced to improve production standards, quality management and design. The fair has created a "push" in terms of psychology and business, thereby promoting domestic consumption in a sustainable way, creating a foundation for future export expansion".

The combination of traditional products and modern technology, direct trade and online connection has turned the 2025 Autumn Fair into an economic and cultural festival rich in identity, opening a new journey of connection and lighting up the aspiration for a strong, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam in the new era. This success comes from the Party's wise leadership and direction, the Government's decisive and flexible management, and the participation of the entire political system, the business community and the people./.
