Central Council of Young Pioneers: Closing the Kim Dong Training Camp and awarding the Pink Swallow Award to 80 outstanding Young Pioneers

On the afternoon of June 22, at the Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Learning and Activity Center, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers organized the "Pink Swallow" Award ceremony and crowned the 2025 National Kim Dong Training Camp.

Leadership delegates attended the 2025 "Pink Swallow" Award ceremony.

Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Central Youth Union's Children's Work Committee, standing member of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations in Tay Ninh province; standing members of the Provincial Youth Union, City Youth Union, Chairmen of the Young Pioneers' Councils of provinces and cities.

Also attending the ceremony were teachers who are leaders of outstanding teams from provinces and cities that have won the "Pink Swallow" Award from 2011 to present; and coaches at level I and level II of the Central Government.

Mr. Le Anh Quan - Vice Chairman of the Central Youth Union Council, Chairman of the Central Training Council awarded certificates of outstanding achievements in the camp's skills.

At the program, the leadership delegates and 165 campers who are teachers of the Team Leader, specialized staff at the palaces, children's houses, youth activity centers and Team Councils at all levels nationwide looked back on the 7-day journey (from June 16-22, 2025) of exciting training in Tay Ninh.

With a serious training spirit, the campers together learned knowledge of the Team's work such as: instructions on practicing the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team's rituals; organizing the Children's Star activities; practicing Morse and semaphore; organizing the parade and the Team review ceremony; practicing collective living skills such as secret letters, marking the path, setting up a speed tent, cheerleading, game master competition, tying knots, scouting, team drumming, flashmob dancing, first aid...

In addition, the campers are trained in the topics of the Team work such as children's work and methods of selecting and training the Team Command Board; methods of instructing children in group dancing and singing; developing Team activity plans, preparing training lesson plans; training to promote children's participation in issues related to children.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Youth Union awarded Level I Trainer certificates to campers who successfully completed the training content.

This is an annual activity to continue to standardize the team of coaches and cadres in charge of the Team at all levels, contributing to improving the quality of the Team work and the children's movement in the new situation, fostering and improving knowledge, expertise, and working skills, helping the cadres in charge of the Team to be good at theory and proficient in skills, contributing to effectively advising and implementing the Team work and the children's movement. In addition, it creates a meaningful playground for delegates participating in the Kim Dong Training Camp to exchange, learn, and share experiences.

In addition to training activities, 165 campers were also given the opportunity to exchange cultural and artistic activities, participate in social security work, and experience the practical work of the Team and children'seducation in Tay Ninh province. In particular, the camp also set a Vietnamese record with a performance with the most Team leaders participating in Vietnam. The proud and emotional images in the camp left beautiful and memorable memories in the hearts of the campers.

The Central Council of the Young Pioneers awarded certificates of merit to campers with outstanding achievements.

At the end of the Training Camp with 39 competitions and 6 collective activities, the Central Team Council awarded certificates of recognition of achieving the Central Level I Coach standards to 115 team leaders; and awarded certificates of merit from the Central Team Council to 20 coaches with outstanding achievements.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union Secretariat also awarded certificates of merit to 15 cadres in charge of the Team with the highest learning and training results at the Training Camp. The title of Valedictorian was awarded to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hieu, an officer of the Children's House of Dong Nai province; the first runner-up was awarded to Mr. Tran Nguyen Anh Tu, Head of the Team at Nguyen Van Be Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City; the second runner-up was awarded to Ms. Tran Thi Nhung, a teacher and Head of the Team at An Da Secondary School, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City.

The Central Youth Union Council and the Central Training Council awarded 24 professional records to 24 campers with high achievements in competitions at the training camp.

Also in the program, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers awarded the "Pink Swallow" prize to 80 outstanding teachers in charge of Young Pioneers selected from 63 provinces and cities across the country. They are cadres and teachers in charge of Young Pioneers with outstanding initiatives, scientific topics, and practical experience in Young Pioneers' work and the children's movement; at the same time, they are those who devote their whole heart to their profession and guide their beloved juniors.

The “Pink Swallow” Award is a noble award from the Central Council of the Young Pioneers for teachers and leaders of the Young Pioneers with outstanding achievements nationwide. After 15 years of implementation (2011-2025), 290 teachers have been honored. 2025 - the year marking the 15-year journey of the award's significance, is also an important milestone in the work of school children nationwide.

Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, presented the laurel wreath to the valedictorian of the camp - Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hieu, an officer of the Children's House of Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang - Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers emphasized that this is the first and last year that the 2025 National Kim Dong Training Camp will be organized for all Young Pioneers in charge across the country to attend. In the context that the whole country is arranging and merging localities, and the young pioneers, civil servants, public employees, and workers across the country are rushing to complete their final work and tasks, the camp has become a memorable memory for many Young Pioneers in charge.

Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang believes that the skills learned after the camp will be a "springboard" for the cadres in charge of the Team to continue to be more committed and make more efforts in the profession of caring for, protecting and educating children with good and creative models and methods, with all their enthusiasm and love for children; thereby together continuing the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team in the new era, the era of the nation's rise.
