(laichau.gov.vn) This afternoon (November 6), the Provincial Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control, Social Evils and Building the Movement for the People to Protect National Security (Provincial Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control) held a conference to evaluate the results of activities and the results of 1 month of implementing the peak of propaganda and mobilization, fighting against crimes and violations of the law on weapons, explosives and supporting tools. According to the report at the Conference, the work of preventing, combating and suppressing crimes has been carried out resolutely and effectively, and violations have been strictly handled; by November 4, there were 117 cases related to crimes and violations of the law on social order in the province, down 21.48% compared to the same period in 2024; the investigation and detection rate reached 94.87%. The fight against fraud crimes in cyberspace has achieved positive results; the fight against drug crimes has been deployed resolutely, synchronously and simultaneously, promoting the effectiveness of the role of drug prevention and control from the grassroots level. Investigation activities always ensure "rule of law", not allowing wrongful convictions or letting criminals escape, ensuring the progress and quality of investigation of cases.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Comrade Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Crime Prevention and Control praised the sense of responsibility, efforts and remarkable results of agencies and units in the coordination, consulting and implementation of crime prevention and control tasks in the past time. To continue to improve the effectiveness of crime prevention and control, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Crime Prevention and Control Steering Committee and the Commune-level Crime Prevention and Control Steering Committee, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to coordinate with the Police force to well implement plans and projects to ensure security and order, towards the country's major events and conferences in 2026, focusing on the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Lunar New Year 2026, the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. The Police force continues to promote its core role, closely coordinating with agencies, departments, branches, unions and local authorities in fighting and suppressing all types of crimes, especially drug crimes, high-tech crimes, online fraud, and social evils.
