Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Conference discussed the Project to reorganize the apparatus.

On December 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held the 35th Conference of the City Party Executive Committee, term XI, 2020-2025, chaired by Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.

Attending the Conference were representatives of the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. The Conference aimed to discuss and contribute comments on the Draft Political Report; thematic reports to be submitted to the 12th Congress of the City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the Draft Project on reorganizing the apparatus of the city's political system.

Directing the Conference, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen asked delegates to focus on discussing and giving opinions on important contents in preparation for the 12th Congress of the City Party Committee. At the same time, research and clarify the requirements, goals and breakthrough targets for Ho Chi Minh City to enter the era of national development.

According to the head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the Politburo recently issued Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology development and innovation, focusing on national digital transformation. As the "locomotive" of the country, Ho Chi Minh City must set important goals and targets for science and technology development and innovation.

At the Conference, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also asked delegates to focus on discussing and giving opinions on the topics and mottos of the Congress; the layout of political reports; and the building of the city's orientation and tasks in line with the country's common goals.

This conference is also very important for Ho Chi Minh City to discuss and contribute ideas on the Project to reorganize the city's political system, according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
