The procession of Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc Pagoda - the place that hosted the Vesak 2019 - within the framework of the Vesak 2025 will take place from May 17 to 20. According to information from the Organizing Committee, it is expected that on May 17, from 6 to 10 am, the procession carrying Buddha's relics will depart from Quan Su Pagoda ( Hanoi ) to Liem Tuyen Toll Station (Ha Nam). From 10 to 11:30 am, the procession will go through the central streets of Phu Ly city. From 11:30 am to 1 pm, the relics will be carried around Tam Chuc Lake to Tam Quan Noi. From 1 pm to 2 pm, the relics will be carried from Tam Quan Noi to Tam The Temple and the installation ceremony will be held. After the procession and installation ceremony, a prayer ceremony, chanting and worship will take place.
Along with the activities of praying for peace and worshiping Buddha's relics, Tam Chuc Pagoda also organized a ceremony to celebrate the Vesak 2025 at the Vesak International Convention Center (May 18), planted the Compassion Tree to nurture wisdom at the Compassion Nursery of Tam Chuc Pagoda (May 19), and held a night of flower lanterns to pray for national peace and prosperity and pay tribute at Tam Quan Noi (night of May 19).
At the conference, Mr. Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that this is a major cultural and spiritual event and an opportunity to promote Ha Nam tourism, so he requested that press agencies coordinate with the organizing unit to promote the event.
Participating in the exchange and discussion at the conference, representatives of press agencies requested that the organizing units need to have close coordination and facilitate the reporters' work process.
The media representative of Tam Chuc Tourist Area said that during all days of the event, the unit will waive all train and electric car costs for Buddhists and tourists. Buddhists and tourists will also be provided with free vegetarian meals. It is expected that the cultural activities during the 2025 Vesak Festival at Tam Chuc Pagoda will attract millions of hearts to respectfully turn to the Buddha's body.
