"This is the third consecutive year that the Overseas Labor Center has sent more than 10,000 workers to work abroad in one year. Notably, the rate of illegal workers in Korea has decreased to 23%, while the rate committed to the Korean side is 28%," Mr. Hong informed.

In 2024, the Overseas Labor Center coordinated with relevant Korean agencies to successfully organize Korean language exams for 45,956 workers. This was also the year with the highest number of workers participating in the exam in the past 10 years.

In addition, the Vietnam - Korea Labor Cooperation Forum, organized by the Overseas Labor Center in coordination with units of the Ministry within the framework of the Prime Minister 's visit to Korea in July 2024, created a strong impression, contributing to promoting labor cooperation between the two countries.

According to the leader of the Overseas Labor Center, to achieve the above results, the center has taken necessary measures in the selection and training work, shortening the time for procedures for workers and interns.

However, in addition to the achievements, the Center has encountered many difficulties. The number of workers selected and dispatched in some programs such as IM Japan and the Osaka nursing trainee program has not reached the set target, due to the influence of objective factors such as working conditions and salaries offered by partners.

Mr. Dang Huy Hong said that in 2025, the Overseas Labor Center aims to maintain, expand and develop existing labor markets as well as new markets. Increase the number of skilled workers, especially those from poor districts, mountainous areas... participating in programs implemented by the unit.
