After nearly 7 months since its launch, the "Happy Vietnam 2024" photo and video contest has attracted 6,863 participants with 10,327 entries, including 9,657 photos and 670 videos.
At 8:00 PM on December 11th, at the Hanoi Grand Opera House, the Ministry of Information and Communications, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, will hold the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition and announce the winners of the "Happy Vietnam 2024" photo and video contest.

This is the second time the competition has been held. It is a vivid testament to the profound concern and consistent policy of the Party and State towards caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people, putting the people at the center, in the spirit of "leaving no one behind," and creating all favorable conditions for people to participate, contribute, and develop their abilities and intelligence in the construction, development, protection of the Fatherland, and international integration of the country.

The competition also provides an opportunity for people nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends to express their love for their homeland and their dedication to creating photos and videos promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to the world, inspiring aspirations for national development, prosperity, and happiness; and promoting the cultural values and strength of the Vietnamese people in the new era.
After nearly 7 months since its launch (from March 20th to October 15th), the contest has attracted a total of 6,863 participants with 10,327 photo and video entries, including 9,657 photos and 670 videos.
Among the participating authors were 581 international authors and 265 Vietnamese authors residing abroad, with nearly 1000 works submitted. More than 50% of the authors had previously participated in the 2023 competition.

After many days of serious and impartial work, the Jury and Organizing Committee selected 60 outstanding videos and 150 outstanding photos to be displayed at the exhibition, of which 34 outstanding works were awarded prizes.
According to the organizers, each entry in the competition is a fascinating story, an impressive moment, or a meaningful message about love for one's homeland, filled with pride, love, and aspirations for a prosperous and happy life across Vietnam.

Following the awards ceremony, the selected works will be exhibited both domestically and internationally, serving to promote and publicize Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights in 2025.
Sharing more details about the awards ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications), said that this year's program will focus on the awards presentation, with the authors and their works being the main focus. The program consists of three parts: Land of Happiness; Happy People; and Moments of Happiness.

The event will be broadcast live on VTV4, the foreign affairs channel of Vietnam Television, and livestreamed on VTV Digital and on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform ( https://vietnam.vn ).
The total prize value for both the photo and video categories amounts to nearly 400 million VND, including: 2 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals, 6 Bronze Medals, 20 Encouragement Awards, and other supplementary prizes.
