On November 26, Japanese fashion retail brand UNIQLO officially held an event to celebrate its 5th year of presence in Vietnam, and announced to contribute all revenue up to the end of December 2024 of 2 special collections, UT Mickey Mouse in Vietnam and UTme! Folklore Chronicles, to the Hope Fund to build 2 new schools in Huoi Khoang ( Son La ) and Ta Cho (Yen Bai).

Since its first store opened in Ho Chi Minh City, UNIQLO has expanded to 26 retail stores across Vietnam, operating in parallel with its online store, of which the online store has achieved a growth rate of 140%/year.
Mr. Nishida Hideki, General Director of UNIQLO Vietnam , shared that in the past 5 years of UNIQLO in Vietnam, the company is proud that LifeWear clothing has contributed to bringing good values to people and Vietnamese society, thereby becoming the choice of customers in daily life. Currently, more than 60% of products sold at UNIQLO stores in the country are made in Vietnam and are also exported to the world . In the coming time, the company will continue to increase the proportion of " Made in Vietnam " products to ensure a stable supply of goods, while contributing to the development of the textile and garment industry in Vietnam.
In addition, one of the key strategies in UNIQLO's sustainable development journey is to nurture local talent. Currently, 74% of store managers across the entire system and regional managers are Vietnamese, of which 44.63% of leadership positions are female - the result of the UNIQLO Manager Candidate program and management training programs. In particular, the company is also committed to promoting the recruitment and training of employees with disabilities, aiming for disabled employees to account for 1% of the total number of employees by 2025...
