Press conference to introduce the seminar on Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts helping the Lao revolution

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of October 18, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense held a press conference to introduce the Ministry of National Defense-level scientific seminar "Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts Helping the Lao Revolution - Historical Significance and Lessons Learned". Colonel Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics); Colonel, Dr. Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Institute of Military History (General Staff); Lieutenant General Nguyen Duc Son, Deputy Head of the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts Helping the Lao Revolution co-chaired the press conference.

Attending the press conference were Major General Huynh Dac Huong, Head of the National Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts assisting the Lao Revolution, former Head of the Expert Delegation and Political Commissar of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers in Laos; representatives of the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts assisting the Lao Revolution and a number of functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, along with reporters from news agencies and newspapers inside and outside the Army.

At the press conference, representatives of the Military History Institute announced the results of preparations for the Ministry of National Defense-level scientific seminar on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Military Experts Helping the Lao Revolution (October 30, 1949 - October 30, 2024).

The scientific conference “Vietnamese Volunteers and Military Experts Help the Lao Revolution - Historical Significance and Lessons Learned” aims to affirm and clarify the international proletarian viewpoint and line towards the Lao revolution; the special solidarity, the pure and loyal fighting alliance between the Party, State, Army and people of Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam. Affirm and further clarify the correct and wise leadership and direction of the Party Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense - the decisive factor in all victories of Vietnamese Volunteers and Military Experts in Laos. At the same time, provide new documents, profound scientific arguments and arguments, contributing to clarifying the process of birth, growth and typical feats and achievements of Vietnamese Volunteers and Military Experts; the close and effective coordination and cooperation with the army and people of Lao ethnic groups in all aspects of work. Through the workshop, the aim is to propagate and educate the tradition of revolutionary struggle, the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the special solidarity, the fighting alliance between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam for cadres, soldiers and people of Vietnam and Laos, especially for the young generation of each country.

To date, the Organizing Committee has received a total of 82 articles, including 4 framework articles and 78 papers (the number of papers after editing has been printed in the proceedings). The papers are carefully and seriously researched, closely following the content of the conference theme; the approach and problem solving methods are scientific, convincing, ensuring good quality.

As planned, the workshop will take place on October 25, 2024 in Hanoi.
